Erm that title should of course read The Walking Dead and not The Waking Dead. blushing.gif

If its possible for a Mod to edit and correct that for me I would be very grateful. pray.gif

The Waking Dead would be a totally different show wouldn't it ? -The dead just waking up wouldn't that scary, maybe if they woke you up that would be quite scary but only at first it would just get irritating after a while. rolleyes.gif wink.gif

The Walking Dead certainly livened things up Halloween night: The zombie-centric series gave AMC its highest premiere ratings in history Sunday, pulling in 5.3 million viewers. Walking Dead attracted 3.6 million adults 18-49, 3.1 million adults 25-54, and 2.1 million adults 18-34. And the premiere didn’t just break records for AMC — it boasted the highest debut for any 2010 cable series among the 18-49 demographic. “It’s a good day to be dead. We are so proud of this series, its depth of storytelling and the remarkable talent attached,” Charlie Collier, AMC’s president, said in a press release. “As the network dedicated to bringing viewers the best stories on television, we are so pleased to have the opportunity with ‘The Walking Dead’ to raise the bar within this popular genre and continue our commitment to being the home of premium television on basic cable.”

I thought the first episode was really good. The beginning was a bit of a rip-off of Wyndham's Day of the Triffids, in a way, and it didn't do anything particularly new with the genre, but what it did do it did very well thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

AMC has ordered a 13-episode second season of The Walking Dead, it has been reported.

The Walking Dead tells the story of life after a zombie apocalypse. Based on a comic book series by Robert Kirkman, the show premiered on Halloween, filling Mad Men's recently-vacated timeslot following its fourth season conclusion.

The series has been very well-received, performing the best of any cable show ever in the coveted 18-49 demographic. The premiere attracted approximately 5.3 million viewers.

"The Dead has spread!" said Charlie Collier, president of AMC. "No other cable series has ever attracted as many adults 18-49 as The Walking Dead. This reaffirms viewers' hunger for premium television on basic cable. We are so proud to be bringing back The Dead again, across the globe."

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 10pm on AMC in the US and Fridays at 10pm on FX in the UK.

Episode 2 - hmmm ponder.gif I thought it was a little disappointing after the quality of the first episode, although the tension did ratchet up quite nicely towards the end. The worrying thing is that I still don't know (or care) what any of the character names are eermm.gif

Thought the first episode was pretty good. smile.gif

Was expecting to find Andrew Lincoln's accent laughable but it seemed fine to me.

Nice for it to be shown without any ad breaks. smile.gif
