Title: Top 10 episodes

TV Crazy - April 16, 2007 09:37 PM (GMT)
Sky One did a best of SG-1 weekend and got fans to vote for their top 10 episodes.

They were:

10: The Serpants Lair (S2 premiere)

9: Full Circle (S6 finale)

8: 2010 (S4 ep set in the future)

7: Reckoning 1 & 2 (S8 - when the replicators were defeated)

6: 200

5: Camelot (S9 finale)

4: 1969 (S2 - gate sent them back to 1969)

3: The Fifth Race (S2 when Jack first downloaded knowledge of ancients)

2: Lost City 1&2 (S7 finale)

1: Window of Opportunity (time loop episode)

What do you think, do you agree. I didn't think 200 and Camelot should have been in the top 10, and i thought 2010 would've been higher. I do agree with Window of Opportunity as the best though. Anyone have a top 10 of their own?

Hmm... of those I would agree with Window of Opportunity, The Fifth Race, 200 and 2010.

Not sure about Camelot and The Serpents Lair however.

Personally I would have included Fail Safe (S5 - SG-1 have to stop a meteorite hitting Earth) and Bad Guys (S10 - SG-1 fake a museum robbery/hostage situation) for just being fun - something which I'm always going to remember SG-1 for being.

Off the top of my head I'd have to agree with Phillip, I really can't see how Camelot's justified in being there, and to my mind, Serpent's Lair is probably the weaker of the season 1/2 spanning trilogy of episodes.

200 definitely should be there, as should 2010, and I don't really think there can be too much argument about Window of Opportunity coming out on top.

Noteable absentees for me would be Cold Lazarus, possibly The Torment of Tantulas, the Reckoning 2-parter. There are probably loads of others as well.

Number 7, mate :)

And apparently this message is too short....

That'll teach me to skimread

The way of getting around the minimum post count is to just slot loads of spaces at the end. They don't show up in the message when it hits the board.

I think Fail Safe should be there as well, maybe Heroes part 2. There are too many good eps to choose just 10 of them.

Prometheus Unbound, would be somewhere in the list there for me personally, out of the substantial amount of dissapointing episodes in season 8 (apart from the Reckoning double parter), that episode is what really shone through for me. And gave Daniel Jackson (my favorite character) the spotlight.

Didn't Camelot have Ben Browder rolling around in mud ... I think I may have found the reason ;)

That was definately one of the highlights of Camelot, was a good episode, just not a classic to me. I thought the older episodes were better.
