Below are the site rules; all members are required to follow these at all times. The rules aren't here for show. They are to help make your visits to the site more enjoyable and to keep things going smoothly. We appreciate your cooperation.

9/27/05

Any illegal activity is not permitted here, either, and is a bannable offense. This includes plagerism and art theivery.

General Rules

1. No swearing, blaspheming, crude language, or sexual content is allowed on the site. This site has no age restrictions, and due to possible visits from younger guests, we would like to keep it clean. Tactful allusions are allowed--often allusions prove just as effective as the real thing; they are also more artistic and skill-building.

2. No name-calling or personal attacks. You can disagree with someone all you like, but there is no need to be rude about it. This site aims to have a friendly atmosphere, and with your help we can keep it that way. Depending on the severity of the attack, the offending member may be warned or banned.

3. Do not send harassing PM's to any of the members. If you receive one, immediately notify the site administrators or the moderators; please make sure to include a copy of the offending PM for the records. The situation will be dealt with as soon as possible. If you send harassing PM's and do so consistently, you may be banned from the site.

4. No slash is permitted. ("Slash" refers to homosexual-based stories.)

5. Avatars and signatures are also liable to all rules.

Forum Rules

1. Some threads may have rules stated in them--those rules apply only to that thread, and the site rules still apply. Please make sure to read the opening post first so that you understand the rules of that thread.

2. Do not post in threads that ask you not post in them.

Critique Section Rules

1. By posting any stories, essays, or poems in the writing sections, you are affirming that you want critique on that work. Members and others are free to offer their opinions of anything that you put up for them to view; if you don't want critique, this is probably not the site you are looking for.

2. Do not steal or plagiarize any other person's written works, whether from this site or not. Any work that is stolen or plagiarized will be immediately removed upon notice and the offending member will be notified of the situation.

3. All stories in the fan fiction section must have a notice stating that the universe, characters, etc. that inspired the work are not the property of the writer. If you do not have this, you are breaking copyright laws and could possibly lead to the shut down of the entire site.

All infractions and misbehavior should be reported immediately to the administrators or the moderators. With your assistance, the situation can be dealt with as quickly as possible. A record will be kept by the site administrator of all rule-breaking.

All users who sign up for this site must abide by all of the rules. The rules are not open to dispute.

You can find a list of the site administrators and moderators here.

There are also site regulations that apply. These can be found here.

Please note that the administrators reserve the right to make on-the-fly decisions.

We will rarely, if ever, make use of this right.

When we do, the user(s) involved will be promptly alerted, but punishment will be reserved for later infractions. (Unless someone decides to do something really stupid and illegal, such as set up a scam.)

In any case, punishment is at the administrator's discretion. Moderators may make judgment calls, but they do defer to either the admin or co-admin, and everyone defers to the admin.
