Characters Appearance: Kalin is thin and tall.
His face is covered by scraggly bangs desperately tried
to be brushed aside, but succedding very little. While his bangs
and hair-tips are indeed blond, the rest of his hair is a dark brown,
shinning like a polished oak branch in the sunlight that he can see no more.
When his bangs are pushed aside, they reveal striking yellow eyes, almost catlike in apperance, but indeed showing the view of his soul. They seem to flicker to a pale green with his mood changes; flashes into his what he might have looked like in his former life.
Kalin is lean and cat like; he often slouches instead of standing straight, trying to look a bit shorter then five nine.
He is normaly clad in a long black jacket, very nearly resembling a blazer-but not quite. Underneith, any assortment of t-shirts could be worn, but very rarely does he take it off. His pants are usualy denim or cargo, preffering them to the fancy attire many vampires seek.
All in all, Kalin can easy pass for an average human, save for his eyes.
He did manage a tattoo; around his ankle is a celtic heart with thorns wrapped around it, but because of his boots its rarely seen.

Characters Personality:
Kalin is rather unsure about being a vampire. Though nearing his first thousand, he still has the awkwardness of a late teenager and the uncertiteny of them as well. Even being undead for all this time, he still has a hard time with the opposite sex, and an even harder time trying to fit in with other vampires.
While most of them seem to be driven by something: Love, revenge, hatred.....He just goes through his afterlife with uncertanty and confusion, not sure what he really wants from life yet.
With this in mind, Kalin is rather laidback and relaxed.
Hes the type you'd expect to see playing video games with a bunch of friends rather then drinking the blood of humans or animals. Yet its because of his awkwardness and unsure feelings about his vampirism that he had a hard time socalizng with human or vampire alike.
He can easily make a conversation and attempt to keep it going, but he always holds back, just a little, almost as if hes afraid of being judged or ridiculed.
Blood drinking is another thing he stumbles into with confusion.
While he particularly dosn't enjoy doing it, he can't deny that he needs to drink the blood of others to survive. He got along quite well by stealing supplies from hospitals and drinking blood of the dead from
first battles and then gang-shootings in the city. In that sense, Kalin still has never really drinken a humans blood, be it willing or unwilling.
When it comes to love, Kalin feels to awkward to make any feeble attempt. While he finds himself unattractice, even if its just the opposite, he feels hes not good enough to be in a relationship. The forbidden love of humans and vampires makes it even harder, and hes never spent enough time with other vampires to really accept someone or understand things.
With all things in mind, Kalin is just awkward.
If faced with a fight, he will flee before doing anything, even if he could kick their ass.

Characters Powers:
Kalin is still awkward in understanding his powers.
He can shapeshift slightly. He can turn into that of a cat or a small dog; a bat is a bit hard for him to do. He can only hold this power so long before panicing and altering back to his human-resembling form.
Kalin can see perfectly well in the darkness. During the daytime, when he aventures out, he has a slightly harder time seeing.
That being said, Kalin can venture into the sunlight; usualy an hour or two before he begins to suffer from the conditions and must retreat back to the darkness.
Kalin's reflexes have been increased, as has his speed.
His streagth is slightly more then a humans, but even stll, he
is not at his full potential in the streagth catagory.
Kalin has a particular allergy to hawthorn.
Garlic, while unable to kill him, none the less does make him rather
sick, even if he only has a little.
Staking will of corse kill him, as will to much sunlight and hawthron. He has no allergy to silver; infact, he wears allot of it.


Characters History:
Kalin was just coming into his late teens
when he was turned. Up until that point, he lived a fairly normal life
of a guardsman for a noble family. When the carriage he was defending was attacked by a coven of hungry vampires, he was one of the last to fall. One of the vampires, impressed by his display of courage, took pity on him and changed him into one of their own.
Having been nearly drank dry first, Kalin nearly died before the curse took effect upon him. He was picked up by 'The Guards Own', the group of guardsmen he belonged to.
Unaware of the curse he now harbored, they brought him back to their headquarters and alerted his family. Beliving him to be dieing, they called his family to him. In his state of delerium, Kalin remembered very little of that day.
He 'died' soon afterwords, and was burried in the cemertary of the village he belonged to. His family, having formerly relied on him for income, was forced to leave the town. Thus, when he finaly rose from the grave, distraught and more confused then ever, he left the town as well, setting off in distant directions.
He wandered for years, trying to figure out his curse, and attempting to understand how it was that he craved only the blood of the animals he killed for food.
It took him several years before he was able to understand what he was, and even now it still confuses him. Emotions and feelings are something he understands very little, although he knows more about them then how to act around the opposite sex.
