of the Vampire Diaries, where two brothers frozen in time will change the course of history for all eternity, and one girl stands between them. Where the stories of the past are real and the lines between reality and dream are blurred. Old acquaintances are making their return to the old town, and new faces are showing their true natures. Trust is a commodity, and the net is closing in to reveal the identity of the traitors. It’s not only the living that has secrets to tell. How far would you go to save the one you love, and how far would you allow them to go in return? How do you decide between good and evil, when both are concealed from you?

The question is; who is craving who?

Bonnie sat down with a cup of coffee. She had a horrible nightmare again, still everything was really vague she wanted to know what it was about. The feelings where taking her over, it felt horrible and she was scarred. She felt filthy and there was something dark coming and it was not alone, there vampires she guessed but maybe even more. It was confusing her and draining the energy from her, it got worse and worse she needed to find this girl. It was a girl running from something not literally but it was horrible.

She shook her head and closed it was far away now in the back of her mind. Though when she was sleeping she wasn't able to get it all locked up in side, she needed help from someone who knew how to handle all it but she didn't know who that would be. It was giving her headaches and she started to feel sick, what was doing this to here or who was. She had put a lot of make up on trying to hide how tired she really was closing her mind so that she wouldn't be exhausted from all the emotions of others.

She was looking for her bag, she had got a note from Rose who wanted to meet her. She had seen her she thought for one or two times she wasn't quite sure. Though it seemed that there was no harm in meeting her and maybe it would even come to her advantage. She found her bag eventually and put her keys in it, she decided to walk to the Mystic Grill it wasn't that far and she could use the fresh air. She breathed in the air and there appeared a smile on her face. It gave her strenght at least a little of it back to her and that was all she was asking for.

She walked into the Mystic Grill, there weren't a lot of people so it would be hard having the wall around her. So she could relax, she sat down on a chair. Waiting for Rose, the waiter came up to her and asked her if he could get her anything "A coffee would be fine she replied to the man who was in his late twenties, she hadn't seen him before. Some how he didn't feel right, but it was probably her imagination taking over.

Rose's Outfit: ~Here Yo~

- x - x - x - x - x - x - x - x - x

Rose strolled towards the focal point of the entire town, the Mystic Grill. Anyone who was anyone in this place came here. Young, Old, Newcomer, Resident. Everyone passed through the doors of the Grill sooner or later. Since coming to Mystic Falls about five weeks ago, Rose had been here several times. It could be anything you wanted it to be. A fun hang out with friends, a pick up joint, a place to drown your sorrows or just for solitude. Rose however, was here with a purpose. To finally meet the Witch that had been causing quite a stir within the spellcasting community.

The young Witch in question was a seventeen year old girl called Bonnie Bennett, a descendent of the infamous Emily. The girl had apparently quite a lot of power at her disposal for one so young. Rose and Trinity had been curious about her, Rose took the initiative to actually meet the girl properly and in person.

Walking inside the Grill, Rose looked around to see where Bonnie was sitting. Catching a glimpse of the back of her head, Rose smiled to herself as she recognised the thick black curls of the teenage Witch. Striding over, Rose was never short of confidence, though some would call it cockiness. It didn't matter, the feisty red head was anything but shy. "Bonnie?" she called the girls name in her thick Northern Irish accent as she got closer. She extended her hand out towards the pretty teenager, "I'm Rose, I'm glad you took the time to come meet me."

Bonnie waited in the Mystic grill to meet the girl who wanted to meet her. Apparently she was a witch as well and she didn't mind meeting other witches it was something different then vampires maybe it would be actually fun for once. She had no idea who this Rose girl was, although she had a feeling that she had met her before just once. It was just a feeling, so it was probably nothing all though over the past few months she had learned that her gut could tell her actual things.

Like the bad feeling she got from Stefan when she touched him it turned out to be true. Considering him being a vampire and all she had also learned that vampires and witches where not on such good grounds with each others. That she had experienced herself twice on almost getting killed by Damon. The second one was that a vampire seduced her to and kidnapped her and eventually also Elena. They wanted her to open the tomb for them no way that she was going to do that. Fortunately they had been saved and she was now free on her again. Then though she had opened the tomb with her grandmother and it had lead to her death.

Something that she still carried with her, the lose of her grandmother had been great. Since what happened to her parents she had no one left now and she was gone wasn't there anymore. She heard someone behind her and looked up and heard here name. She took the hand "I'm Rose, I'm glad you took the time to come meet me. Bonnie smiled to the girl she had an okay feeling about this not sure what she wanted yet but she wasn't scared of immediately. "Nice to meet you Rose I'm Bonnie. Please sit down she said to the girl who she was looking at right now. She was older then her but she didn't know how old exactly not that it mattered though. "So may I ask why you wanted to meet me here?" she asked the girl starting to get curious

Rose's first impressions of Bonnie was of a sweet, polite girl. So far there had been no reason to question this , no reason for alarm. After all a girl this young with that much power at her disposal was a potential disaster waiting to happen, descendent of Emily Bennett or not. Rose smiled back politely and sat on a chair to face Bonnie. The questions began immediately. Good, Rose didn't like time wasters. Say what you have to say, that was her motto. Of course her motto had a kanck for getting her into shit.

"Straight to the point. I like you already" Rose grinned, and placed her arms on the table in front of her, knitting her fingers together. Rose could sense the girl's power even sitting here. If she was younger or more inexperienced, Rose may have had trouble concentrating. But when it came to power, of the two red headed Witches, Rose was the one who had just that little bit more. "Honestly, I had heard a lot about you Bonnie and as another Witch in the area I wanted to meet you. Get to know you a little better." Rose pursed her lips thinly, "wondered if you needed help with anything. I mean you are still young and have so much potential."

Rose left the door open. It was a test of Bonnie's character. Would she be arrogant and refuse help? Would she be humble and seek more knowledge? The ball was in Bonnie's court now.

Bonnie saw the girl or should I say woman sit down. She took a closer look at the lady in front of her. She concentrated on her for a moment and felt that it was safe and comfortable to be around her. This let down her guard a bit, there was a lot of power coming from her but it was controlled power she had that most of the time but sometimes she just accidentally blew things up so there was a lot of replacement done in the house she was now living in alone.

"Straight to the point. I like you already" Bonnie was a bit relieved some people thought it was offensive if you asked them things strait away but she was rather clear then talking about all kinds of things except the one you should be talking about. "Honestly, I had heard a lot about you Bonnie and as another Witch in the area I wanted to meet you. Get to know you a little better." How the hell did all these people know about her? She had heard that more often and it was starting to bug her but she remained calm there was no point in having those feelings. "So how did you exactly know me ? she asked the girl in front of her this was her chance so why not ask it you could always just ask.

, "wondered if you needed help with anything. I mean you are still young and have so much potential." Bonnie was actually flatter by these words but what did she know of this girl nothing. So why immediately except help, yes she needed it a lot and there was so much that she didn't know. "I want to accept your offer for help, but I don't know you at all. So before I am willing to accept it I just want to learn more about you" she said being completely honest with it. She wanted to know who the person was she was getting help from.

Again, Bonnie was direct and to the point. She didn't mince her words, Rose could appreciate that. A smile formed over Rose's ruby painted lips, "A friend of a friend." she said cryptically. "Let's just say you're quite well known in our circles". Truth was Rose knew Trinity who knew Bree who had knowledge of the necklace and all the tomb information. Rose had been impressed with what she had heard of the youngster. It was very rare for someone as young as seventeen to have so much power at her fingertips. It was as encouraging as it was frightening.

Bonnie seeemed reluctant to accept Rose offer of help. She pursed her lips but let Bonnie finish what she had to say. "Okay, what is it you want ta know? I'm pretty much an open book. I have nothin' to hide" Rose leant back in her chair and wrapped a thick strand of her flame red hair around her forefinger. "You can ask me anythin', I won't lie and I certainly won't blow sunshine up yer arse either. So if you can handle bluntness, knock yerself out." Rose replied with a slight smile on her face.

Bonnie thought about what Rose said a friend of a friend. it would was true she knew it but how did all these people know about her. "Let's just say you're quite well known in our circles This was a surprise to her why was she known in their circles its not like she did something great or anything she was just a regular girl who had some powers but nothing special "Why? I'm not that special just a girl going to High school" nothing special about that you know.

Bonnie felt that there was a lot of power in the room right now and she could feel it filling the air. It was not only her own power but also from the woman who was right in front of her. She could almost see it but just not quite yet, it was magical literally.

"Okay, what is it you want ta know? I'm pretty much an open book. I have nothin' to hide" Bonnie listen to her explaining herself. It was not like she was going to ask questions and then just trust her. It wasn't that simple "You can ask me anythin', I won't lie and I certainly won't blow sunshine up yer arse either. So if you can handle bluntness, knock yerself out." Bonnie smiled at least she wasn't the kind of girl that would do anything to please her she hated that seriously that was so wrong. Then wondering why people don't trust you I think there is a really good answer for that, your fake... "Its not that simple that I ask you questions and then I trust you and please be honest because I hate it when people try to please you. So my first question is why do you want to help me?" she looked at the girl wondering what she would answer. "For the rest tell me a bit more about yourself what you are doing here, if you know people around here? she thought why not ask.

Bonnie was modest, she didn't need to be at all. The girl had all the power at her fingertips. Though in retrospect, modesty was a good thing. The last thing anyone needed was an out of control Witch. Mystic Falls did not need there very own 'Dark Willow'. "Well, while I think you're humility is all very sweet love. You are not simply an ordinary school girl now are ya?" Rose gave her a knowing smile.

Rose frowned at the girl, but signalled over a waitress before she answered the young girl. "I'll have an Irish coffee please", the waitress nodded and went over to put the order in for the red head. While she waited, Rose rest her hand under her chin and smiled at Bonnie. Direct and to the point. "Sweetness, I am always honest. To a fault. It don't win me many friends and maybe you'll get pissed with me. But I won't ever lie to you, that just ain't my style." Rose grinned as the waitress brought over her order, Rose paid for it with a tip and took a long sip, musing slightly at it's potent flavour.

"Why I want to help you is pretty simple. You are one of us, you are young and you are directionless. You need someone to help guide you along this path. If not me, then someone else. There are more of us around here than you may realise." Rose put her drink down and looked at Bonnie, her deep brown eyes full of the serious nature of her thoughts. "You are a combustible element. All of us require many years of guidance from a mentor." Rose's smile returned and she played with the rim of her cup. "I came here at a request from my friend, Trinity. But we weren't required too much, but I stuck around after the uh...incident at the Tomb. We're needed now more than ever to protect this place."

Rose shrugged after taking another sip from her cup, "I don't know that many people. The Salvatore Brothers, I'm stayin at there place for a while."a small smirk crept over her lips as her memory instantly replayed part of her first night in Mystic Falls. "and of course Trinity. She knew a Witch from Georgia called Bree, she was Trin's mentor and I believe Bree knew your Grandmother somehow."

"Well, while I think you're humility is all very sweet love. You are not simply an ordinary school girl now are ya?" Bonnie knew what she meant she was a witch and in that way not ordinary at all. But in the supernatural world she wasn't special at all so she didn't quite get that girl. "Well yeah in that way I'm not ordinary but in the world of supernatural I kind of am. I'm just an ordinary witch" she said as she looked at the girl. She really didn't get it though, it was not that she thought low of herself but not very high as well. Just regular she was who she was nothing more and nothing less.

"Sweetness, I am always honest. To a fault. It don't win me many friends and maybe you'll get pissed with me. But I won't ever lie to you, that just ain't my style." Bonnie just laughed about that comment. Yeah she knew that, getting honest about things was sometimes a bit harsh but better then lying. "Well I rather be pissed at you for awhile because your honest then to be because I found out that someone has been lying to me. I can handle a lot as long as it honest, so I think I'm already starting to like you." she did like the girl forward direct and honest. Wow that was seriously amazing.

"Why I want to help you is pretty simple. You are one of us, you are young and you are directionless. You need someone to help guide you along this path. If not me, then someone else. There are more of us around here than you may realise." she nodded in response she knew their where more out there because her grandmother talked about it but. She hadn't realized that it was real for a long time "Yeah I heard something like that from my Grandmother but I didn't know it was true for a long time. So I barely remember any of it. I kind of feel bad about it now" she explained herself trying to remember more about it.
"You are a combustible element. All of us require many years of guidance from a mentor." Bonnie nodded and understood her while she drank more of her coffee.

"I came here at a request from my friend, Trinity. But we weren't required too much, but I stuck around after the uh...incident at the Tomb. We're needed now more than ever to protect this place." Maybe she knew what was coming then she got all excited all of a sudden "So you know what is coming to town? You know what my dreams are about? I know that something really bad is coming and that we are going to need you and I keep having these dreams about it" she suddenly spilled. Ok Bonnie get your emotions together again.

"I don't know that many people. The Salvatore Brothers, I'm stayin at there place for a while."a small smirk crept over her lips as her memory instantly replayed part of her first night in Mystic Falls. "and of course Trinity. She knew a Witch from Georgia called Bree, she was Trin's mentor and I believe Bree knew your Grandmother somehow." Bonnie nodded"Yes I've heard about her a couple of times but like I said I don't remember things that well. So you do know the salvatore brothers huh. she said that would be interesting though.

Rose shook her head, the girls modesty was just too much. But no amount of prodding and jabbing at her would make her realise her own potential. Truthfully, it was the best way forward. Her modesty and humility would be a tool for her to keep herself steady and on the right path. Still it was bemusing for Rose to see someone with so much to offer think so little of herself.

Rose took another long sip of her drink, letting the blend of coffee and whisky soothe her. It was still quite early in the day, but Rose was never one to play entirely by the rules of society. There was no harm in just one after all. She smiled at Bonnie a mixture of pleasure at her words and the taste of her drink. "Good, cause I'm a handy ally to have, even if I do say so meself." she grinned at Bonnie over her large glass cup.

Rose frowned at Bonnie's words regarding her grandmother. She did seem genuinely remorseful though. Still, Rose was never one to hold her tongue, "You needed to listen to her, she was all our elders and as such held great wisdom. I would have liked to have had the chance to meet her. She sounded like a wonderful lady, if a little colourful. But a little quirkiness is good for the soul I say." she smiled genuinely and finished off her irish coffee.

The Irish witch leaned back in her chair and observed Bonnie, she spoke of a new threat and dreams that had been obviously bothering her. "No, but perhaps I can help you figure it out. If you'll let me." she sighed and waved a waitress over and ordered another Irish coffee, "There are still some vamps left over from the Tomb disaster. Maybe they have somethin' to do with what's causing these visions of yours" Rose replied, stating outright what Bonnie was going through was not meaningless dreams, but spiritual insight.

Rose chuckled to herself at the mention of the Salvatores, "Yeah I know them. I take it you do too?" she nodded towards the waitress who brought over her order. "What's you're honest opinion on the brothers?" Rose was curious, she had to ask.

"Good, cause I'm a handy ally to have, even if I do say so meself." Bonnie laughed about her comment. "Well I'll just have to find out about that then." She didn't know what this girl meant but she had a feeling that she would found out about it soon. There was a lot she was going to find out and she wasn't sure if she liked it. Probably not but it was something new end an adventure.

"You needed to listen to her, she was all our elders and as such held great wisdom. I would have liked to have had the chance to meet her. She sounded like a wonderful lady, if a little colourful. But a little quirkiness is good for the soul I say." Bonnie closed her eyes for a moment the thought of her grandmother was still very painful. Every time she thought of it she had to fight the tears, she was devastated when her grandmother died right in front of her. It was easier for her to find peace with it but every time it was mentioned she felt that she lost control over her emotions which also meant her powers. She wasn't mad at Rose though, she was right. "She was a wonderful person and I wish that I had listen to her, unfortunately we don't have that chance anymore I could have learned a lot from her but, I didn't know at that point that it was important to listen to it."

"No, but perhaps I can help you figure it out. If you'll let me." Bonnie ordered a thee since if she had to much caffeine it would not be good for this room. "There are still some vamps left over from the Tomb disaster. Maybe they have somethin' to do with what's causing these visions of yours Bonnie shook her head. She decided just to be honest about it, this was the only way to get over it. "No it is far worse, the tomb vampires are nothing compared to this. I don't know what it is but its strong, I dream about it every night. Can't fall asleep until midnight and wake up at 6 in the morning. Its the same every time and the same dream over and over again. I can't remember enough of it though to make sense out of it. Besides there is this girl in it that I don't know."

It wasn't the only thing though she had to tell her later on about what happened with Stefan. It could wait though first things first and she didn't need to make her confused about something. "Yeah I know them. I take it you do too?" she nodded towards the waitress who brought over her order. "What's you're honest opinion on the brothers?" Bonnie drank some of her thee and thought about it carefully "I'm not sure to be honest a bit confused. Stefan is oke I guess bit obsessed with Elena though. Well Damon is that as well so, that makes both of them. For the rest I don't know what to think, I don't trust them but I don't hate them either. How about you then?" she asked the girl.

Rose McFarlane was a blunt sort of person. Never one to fluff up words with prettiness or tell you something that simply wasn't true. But sometimes, yes sometimes she felt bad for stepping over the line. It didn't happen often, so mark this one in your diary. The reason for Rose's censoring of her own behaviour was the reaction the young Witch in front of her was slowly being worn down by memories of her late Grandmother. A powerful Witch called Sheila Bennett. Rose had never met the elder woman, but she was very well known in Witchy type circles. A direct descendent of infamous Witch, Emily Bennett.

Tragically, Sheila passed away and exertion of power was too much for her to bear and her heart gave out. It left Bonnie devastated. Her entire body was screaming out in pain, yet Rose was the only one in the Grill with the intuition to see it blazing off her in waves of anguished aura. She reached out to her, placing a hand cautiously onto Bonnies. "Listen, I didn't mean to push, not about yer Granny. It's a sensitive subject that I'll do well to keep my big nose well out of for now." Rose said her strong accent was now quiet and soothing. "But remember you have friends. Don't suffer alone in silence. Find someone you can really trust and confide in them"

When Bonnie spoke about her dreams and what was coming, Rose raised her brows. "Somethin' worse than a tomb full o'pissed off Vamps?" Rose retorted, bewildered at Bonnie's cryptic message. But one thing was for sure. Bonnie was terrified and deadly serious about what she was seeing in her dreams. Rose sighed, "I'll look into it. There maybe something on the Witchy grapevine or we can come up with something to look deeper into the dream. But for now, just try not to stress out too much. I understand it's hard, but you have to try. Can you do that Bonnie?"

The conversation took on a more amusing turn, at least for Rose. The Salvatore brothers and of course little miss perfect, Elena. She hadn't met the girl, but the way Stefan spoke of her, the way he and Damon narked at one another because of her. The way others spoke of her in such high regard, Rose was beginning to think the schoolgirl was the closest thing Mystic Falls had to a Saint. She tuned back into Bonnie and what she was saying in respects to the brothers. Even she seemed a little underwhelmed at the whole triangle aspect, claiming both Stefan and Damon were obsessed with Elena.

"I don't know Stefan that well to be honest. He spends most of his time with Elena. I don't think he likes me very much" she chuckled at the thought. Stefan was so detatched, she often wondered if something had crawled up his arse and died there. "He's very broody and angsty. You think after so long he'd get over it." her thoughts now on the elder Salvatore. She wasn't about to spill the beans to a teenage girl that she and Damon had a brief fling the night she arrived in town. No-one knew about what had happened that night, not even Trinity.

Had she been brutally honest with herself, Rose wouldn't be able to explain how she felt about him. She was attracted to him yet repulsed. Enjoyed his company immensely yet wanted to drive a stake through his heart everytime he opened his mouth to speak. He made her laugh almost as much as her best friend Trinity but his arrogance made her teeth itch. The beauty about all of this? Damon perhaps had the same conflicting feelings. Still he was admittedly pretty damn good in the sack. He had that going for him at least. "Eh Damon's okay, if you know how to handle him" she said finally collecting her thoughts.

Bonnie tried to remain calm and that she not started crying in a full Mystic Grill, that would be kind of embarrassing not that she really cared about it. If they didn't like her their loss not hers, why would she even bother. She still saw all the power being drained out of her and she couldn't do a thing. She got weaker by the second until her heart stopped beating. It was the first time she had saw someone die, after that it happened with the tomb vampires from what she could recall.

""Listen, I didn't mean to push, not about yer Granny. It's a sensitive subject that I'll do well to keep my big nose well out of for now." Bonnie nodded she was right about the sensitivity of the subject and she didn't bug into it to much. It was actually kind of a relieve to talk about her with someone even if it was almost an complete stranger. "But remember you have friends. Don't suffer alone in silence. Find someone you can really trust and confide in them" Bonnie shrugged her shoulders and looked at the girl "Well its okay, besides its not like anyone cares about it that much." she said being completely honest everyone had his or her own problems right now. She couldn't just bump into it with he yeah sorry I'm still kind of screwed because of my grandmothers death.

"Somethin' worse than a tomb full o'pissed off Vamps?" Bonnie nodded they where bad but not that bad they could be handled but this was more then that. Far worse "Believe it is and we are with to few to stop it from happening. It is going to happen and I have no clue what it is about for the rest. it is just haunting me for so long now."

"I'll look into it. There maybe something on the Witchy grapevine or we can come up with something to look deeper into the dream. But for now, just try not to stress out too much. I understand it's hard, but you have to try. Can you do that Bonnie?" It was hard not to stress about it when you felt everything so intense that evil was sneaking up on you and there was nothing you could do. How could you be calm then and not stress out to much. "Well I can always try. being not so sure about it. She felt the fear getting to her again by only thinking about her dreams.

"I don't know Stefan that well to be honest. He spends most of his time with Elena. I don't think he likes me very much" That was weird, why wouldn't he like her. Well must have something to do with stuff she doesn't know. She doesn't know the boys to well only in bad situations they meet. "He's very broody and angsty. You think after so long he'd get over it." Bonnie nodded 'Yeah, well Stefan has away of dealing things a bit different then others so will see where it leads. As long as his not going on a killing spring in town. I think it will be alright." she said jokingly you couldn't be serious all the time about everything then it would be come even more depressing then it already was.

"Eh Damon's okay, if you know how to handle him" Yeah well damon was just Damon she couldn't get a straight thought about him. "Well, I don't know a lot about him but what I do know. I do not actually like him" she said honest. He had done brutal things and it had been cruel sometimes.

Okay now Rose wanted to smack the girl. Self pitying was not an attractive attribute for anyone to have. It was one of the reasons she found Stefan Salvatore difficult to be around when she was at the Boarding House. He was racked with so much guilt and pain it was palpable. How the hell did Elena not crack up? Rose shook her head literally, she glanced over at Bonnie and her voice went serious and a little bit stern, "Now, you can cut that crap out right now." she looked directly into the younger Witches eyes. "That kind of talk is bullshit. You have friends, you just choose to pull back from them."

Rose for all her bluster and brashness was a smart cookie and incredibly shrewd and intuitive. She hadn't surpassed Trinity in power for nothing. Of course Trinity was only thinking about her head in some random girls crotch to care, but she had been taught by Bree who was one of the most infamous Witches in all of Georgia. Trinity could be and should be better. That girl was going to get herself into a shitload of trouble one of these days.

Rose backed down for now, concentrating on what Bonnie had said about the coming darkness. It made her uneasy, "well we need to start some sort of Coven, a group of us to start knockin our heads together instead of workin seperately. You would be the figurehead." Rose finished cryptically. Some people had to work to get information. It sparked curiosity, desire and knowledge all of which were essential tools for a Witch to have.

Rose's brow raised at how she spoke of Stefan, then Damon. She couldn't help but chuckle and the chuckle soon erupted into laughter. "Oh Bonnie girl you kill me." she dabbed a napkin at the corner of her eyes. "Stefan has the damn weight of the world on his shoulders, you think hed be happy having a girl so precious as Elena." she shrugged casually at the insistence that Damon was bad. He was a Vampire, one who unlike his brother had accepted what he as a very long time ago. Damon for all his faults and arrogance, was comfortable in his own skin and with who and what he was. Rose may not like him that much or perhaps condone some of his actions, but he was at least honest with himself.
