Stefan is always dressed well, you can spot a Salvatore brother in a leather jacket from Italy at all times. Stefans hair is styled well, along with his chiseled features that go well with any multi colored tight t-shirt he chooses to wear and a set of jeans. Stefan is a noble, honest and moral vampire who refuses to live impulsively. However, do not be fooled. Going against his nature, human blood controls him if ever drinken, it messes with his mind like a drug addiction; only it's much worse. Stefan is known to usually sulk around his brother in the Salvatore boarding house; when under the influence of human blood? Stefan is pep in his step, sarcastically humorous and bold. Stefan acts like a recovering alcoholic with psychotic issues when he's in denial of addiction to human blood; but despite all that? Stefan means well and no harm to anyone unless they are a threat to him or anyone in Mystic Falls.

In the 'normal' Stefan state of mind, Damon describes Stefan to have been a poster child of prozac. Stefan isn't what I could call flirty in comparison to his older brother Damon, however, Stefan is extremely flirty and fun when he's drinken human blood. The human blood fills an empty part of Stefan that has disappeared for years on end. Stefan is only aggressive to those who are a threat to him or his loved ones and friends. Stefan is known to be aggressive to his older brother Damon if he deserves it; but don't be fooled. Both Stefan and Damon may not be 'buddy-buddy', but the two are brothers, and their underlying is stronger than most would recognize,and thus, Stefan would never go off to kill his brother. . even though he tries to steal the girl he loves, kills his best friend Lexi,and ruins his life. There is no doubt that Stefan is a loner, and he can't express that enough to Elena. Stefan can be the bold,sarcastic flirty guy if he's on edge and drunk, but that side of him rarely peaks.

!Overall History
The Salvatore name in Mystic Falls(Fells Church), Virginia is practically royalty. Born into the wealthy Salvatore family in the mid 1800's, Stefan and his brother, When Stefan was first born, his Mother died shortly after. . giving Damon the idea that Stefan was responsible for their Mothers passing. They both lived at their large estate in Virginia, despite Damon going off to college. The two boys were raised and tutored to learn etiquette, both literate, intelligent and extremely good looking. Damon no doubt was the rebellious son in contrast to Stefan who was bound to his Fathers regulations;whereas Damon was more or less his own person.

A young brunette girl by the name of Katherine Pierce stayed at the Salvatore manor one summer. Stefan and Katherine became close, intimate and involved. However, when Stefans older brother Damon came home, he too had been attracted to the girl with the olive, flawless skin and charming features. Within time, both the Salvatore boys were under the spell of the exotic and beautiful Katherine Pierce. Despite Katherine toying with both the Salvatore brothers, neither would back down for their 'dignity',they were both attached to Katherine, both competing in attempt to win over Katherine.

Later on, Stefan and Damon soon found out that their charming and prized girl was not even human. Katherine made the goddess Aphrodite look weak. Katherine was seductive,evil, selfish and bold, reeling both the Salvatore boys in to become suppliers of her blood fix. In Stefans mind,and most likely Damon,underlying, somewhere deep down they both knew that Katherine was with the other brother, but her love and lust overcame those thoughts without even having to compel them.

And then, 1864 came, and Stefan was turned; sadly accompanied by the loss of his love. Not only had Stefan lost his love,died and reincarnated as a vampire, but the guilt that heaved onto him from being the reason of the loss. Damon and Stefan both made a pact not to tell their Father, and Stefan, trying to be noble with his Father had said too much. Their father, Giuseppe was much too smart for Stefans beating around the bush,and immediately knew what was going on. At the time, Mystic Falls was very well aware of the supernatural existence, much like the witchcraze years before that only led to fear of these supernatural creatures; fear led to violence.

As Stefan was reborn, he was clueless to survival in this undead state of mind. Stefan was confused and weak when he was first reborn. It took a while for Stefan to finally realize what he needed to survive, only to have been his Fathers blood. His Father, the man responsible for his and Damons death, as well as an underlying contributor to losing Katherine was the very reason he still survived. Stefan was the first to realize what he was capable of. After he fed, Stefans strength was up, his senses were magnified and he surprised his older brother Damon with a compelled human, a donor. Even though Stefan had a peace proposition with his older brother, Damon was bitter towards Stefan for his poor decisions to confide in their Father who betrayed them.

After years of hiding in the shadows, stalking of the Elena Gilbert who was the spitting image of his beloved Katherine, Stefan finally worked up the courage to be in her life, to know her. At first, Stefan was sketchy, secretive, but relieved. Elena was nothing like Katherine, she was a modern day teenager with morals and wit. Yet again, Stefan was interrupted by the presence of his older brother, Damon who had spotted Elena as well.

In time, Stefan fell in love with Elena, along with his brother Damon torturing him, messing with the minds of all those in Elena's life. Everything was shakey at first, not to mention Stefan becoming jealous of the unique friendship that Elena and Damon developed. Damon has no other friends, and Elena, the sweeter and gracious version of Katherine soon had Damon falling for her when he realized that Katherine didn't want him. As Stefan tasted human blood again for the first time in years, denying the blood all that time ended up contrasting on him big time. Stefan was convinced he had everything under control, that he was going to be okay, but the blood started to control him and his perspective. Stefan became a closet blood junkie, fiending for human blood, hiding, sneaking and stealing from the blood bank at the Mystic Falls hospital. In his term as a closet blood junkie, he was crazy, psychotic and aggressive- and in that time, Damon and Elena's friendship peaked greatly, only to lead to the final moments when it was in the air that Damon was in love with Elena.

(I'm not going to write about what happens next because I'm not sure of Damon and Elena's plotting details but I can imagine that Stefans insecurity of Elena choosing Damon over him peaks when he learns that Damon thinks he kissed Elena. As far as Katherine? I do know that in the books she came for Stefan and that she was extremely angry that Stefan gave Elena the ring that Katherine gave him. I imagine Stefan to be confused, and knowing Stefan, he will be the one to fall deep for Katherine, or confused; and I believe that Damon and Elena will get close again. That's just me though! It's always Stefan who lacks self control.)
