Contest Idea

This was a contest idea that I was going to run when I was still a member of my old clan, The Order of the Muffin, but I couldn't due to lack of interest. If there is sufficient interest here, I think it would be really cool.

Here's the contest:
Everybody who is willing (ideally every member) would pay an amount of meat/items/goods and services for artwork in the KoL forums. The amount would depend on each person, and it would just be whatever you'd be willing to part with. So, artists would have many people to choose from, for varying prizes.

On top of that, there would be an additional prize for the best overall single picture, and another prize for best entire clan picture. The prizes for these would probably be potlucks of stuff from everyone. For example (because I was the financial base for my clan), I was going to give a Hanukkimbo Dreidl to the best clan picture, and a Spectral Pickle (on top of other prize money, naturally) to the best overall picture (because I'm really not very rich...), and I offered 2 million meat for my picture.

The aim of the contest is to make it a huge publicity event, and to get some neat artwork as a cool side effect. If there are other contest ideas, I think it would be a good idea to lump it all together as one megacontest.

(naturally, if you're in hardcore or ronin, you can delay paying people until you're out)

So, do you guys like the idea? If so, post your art specs as well If not, why, and how can the idea be improved?

I am definitly in. I am short of low on meat but I have a several items that are worth quite a bit that I would be willing to donate for artwork.

The other specific I forgot to mention:

Individual artists should be limited to making a certain number (three? five?) of entries, so good artists like Zassiliss, Jarez, Brown, etc. don't choke out the entire competition. This means the artwork will be a little lower-quality for those who don't offer as much meat, but it gives more amateur artists a fair chance of winning (and the more people we can attract to the contest, the better).

Oh, yes. Start posting your character specifics, and what you plan to offer to the contest.

Hat: F3d0r4
Weapon: Wand of Nagamar
Pants: Hippy pants (not important)
Accessory: SS Scarf
Accessory: SS Solitaire
Accessory: Enchanted Toothpick (not important)
Familiar: Cheshire Bat
Action: Fighting or defeating the NS. I'm thinking me posing with a foot on top of the defeated form #2, but I'm more than willing to accept any other moment in a battle with her if you have a great idea.
Hair: brown, but likely covered by the f3d0r4
Eyes: Blue
Shirt: If I look better with a shirt/robe, that's fine but I'm not asking for anything in particular.

An interesting group protrait could be a group battle against the NS and her minions. What do you guys think?

I am definitely for this idea. Hell, put me down for a Mr. A if we can get this thing going.

Hell, I'd even enter, but alas. My computer's RAM is raped to bits and turns off just by playing flash games. So all work on it would be lost until this laptop is fixed, which is tomorrow.

Plus, I am lazy and would probably lose interest immediately.

So... do people still like this idea? I need more specs before it's even possible to launch the contest...
