Firstly, welcome to all new members. I hope you enjoy the time you spend on ConnectChat.
Forum Rules are needed to ensure that the forum is a safe, legal and above pleasant environment for everyone. I will be visiting occasionally to check that rule are being followed, and I have one moderator, 'Littlehelper', who will be here regularly. If you come across anyone breaking the rules, there is a 'Report to Moderator' feature. If you are feeling harrassed, etc or feel someone is abusing the forum, and such like, pm either me or the moderator.
Please abide by the rules. If anyone is found to breaking the rules, they will receive a warning. If they are broken again, that member will be blocked for a short period. If the member breaks the rules a third time, they will be banned from using the forum.
1. Do not post links to illegal sites, such as downloads for tv episodes, as if discovered myself and the poster are liable for prosecution. Any links posted will be deleted and the poster will receive a warning.
2. Do not post anything in a racist, sexist, ageist, obsence, etc manner. This is hurtful to others and in some cases illegal.
3. Do not deliberately insult another member. This will reult in a warning, and if continued, being banned. This forum should have a friendly atmosphere, not one where arguements are caused that will upset another person.
4. Do not swear. Asterisk any swear words you wish to use, although I would rather swearing was not used at all. Any swearwords posted will be asterisked out, and the poster will receive a warning. If your post contains such language, please make it clear at the start of a post.
5. Accept other people's opinions. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and although of course disagreements will always happen, please do not insult opinions or totally discard them.
6. Please do not post a lot of personal infomation. Don't post your surname, or anything very close to your address. Your first name and the area you live in is ok. I would prefer it if you didn't post your email addresses either, but I don't know how to stop that.
7. Please do not spam. Since this is a forum about anything spam seems likely, but please keep this as a conversation rather than incessent advertising. All spam will be deleted and the user warned.
