Hi, I'm Jack Rudd. Those of you who know me from other forums will know who I am. For those who don't, I'm a part-time maths student and not-quite-good-enough-to-turn-pro chess player.

It is. That picture hails from the tenth round of this year's British Championship, in which I was playing the defending champion, Jonathan Rowson. |

"Champion" is a bit of a vague word in this context. More specifically, I want to be an International Master, and possibly in the future a Grandmaster. The former should be achievable relatively soon - I already have one international master norm, and a number of near-misses. The latter is a long way off yet.
