More workers? If we have some one that is making us a game and can do just about anyone of those things on there, why more help?

Well some people might be useless, why should we repay them for doing nothing?

i'm going to offer you this piece of advice.

you guys appear to be making this game from the top down. you made the forums first, the menus first, and decided on the units first.

if you want a functional game, i suggest switiching immediatley to a new strategty- building colossus from the bottom up. get a server running. get someone who can program. more than one if possible. use the forums for important things like deciding how the gameplay will work and use them to pool code and files. why are you deciding payment options if you dont have a game to pay for yet?

here's a to-do list that might be more usefull:

1- organize yourselves. figure out who can do what, who needs to learn what, and what each of you are going to do. then make a system where you can work together as a team, each working on your individual portion.

2- get the game planned. you should be able to play colossus entierely on paper, with a dice and a pencil before you start programming. otherwise, you're going to realize that you have no idea how to code it because you have no idea how it's going to be played. also, plan for the future. when you begin making the game, (you haven't yet), keep in mind that it's going to be changed many times, and you may wan't to add features in later. design it to be open ended.

3- prioritize your progress. this is where i'd start. think "what needs to be done before i can do other things." don't think "what can i do now that is like icing on the cake?" i think finding more "workers" who are willing to learn the skills necessary is a good start.

Well we do have some one making us a game and until he makes it we are only making suggestions. We aren't doing any thing besides that because we don't have the game yet, so if something happens and the game doesn't come out we didn't spend all this time on a game that didn't come out.

Also...we should try to get the stuff said by gyrokanth first. No use making the units and drawing them if we can't find someone who can program. Waste of time.
