Rin hummed happily while she walked around Central Park. This was her most favorite place in the entire world. Birds and squirrels played happily around the base of trees. She had some of her long blonde locks pulled back into puppy dog ears. The rest of it remained flat against her head, blowing contently around her face with each passing breeze. Her brown eyes scanned the many faces that past her. Some greeted her with honest smiles, while others stared at her with shock or disappointment.

Her outfit was black dress with white ribbon and lace fed at random places through out the dress. Pink satin also made the occasional apperance in the entire outfit, making her feel safe. Her appearance was the one way she could connect with her innerself, to make her feel like she was home once more. Each day she became stronger, her smile bigger. But that longing to return to Japan was always with her. Being in America made it hard for her to keep track of popular J-Rock artist and musics.

Halfway through the park, Rin started skipping around laughing at nothing in particular. She wanted to draw attention to herself, she wanted people to know who she was. Something caught her eye, making her stop. It wasn't often something like that happened. She had seen her fair share of famous people and walked right past them without a second glance. But this was strange for some reason she wanted to find out why she had to stop.

Z was in a good mood. She wore a bright pink shirt with a cartoon kitty on it with a pair of faded light blue jeans. These particular jeans had no holes but were littered with graffiti. Most of the clutter on them were various drawings and lyrics to her favorite songs, or something of the sort. She had on a pair of black DC's with a bright pink undersole on them.

She walked along the sidewalk, not paying lany particular attention to anything. She heard the birds singing, and the horns of the city. But no of that seemed to matter in the least. The sun was shining and she was in an awesome mood. Something caught her eye though. A flash of platinum blonde hair, skipping around. Z stopped dead in her tracks. She was slightly stunned for a moment, and caught off guard when she wasnt paying attention at all.

Z watched the girl skip around. She couldnt figure out if the girl was trying to draw attention to herself or...if she was just like that. She was sure the confusion showed on her face. "Hey!" She called out to the seemingly chipper girl. "What are you doing?" She asked, not harshly, just in a way that showed she was just trying to understand the method behind the madness.

Katrina Smith - July 6, 2007 04:38 AM (GMT)
Rin blinked several times and giggled. It never failed, atleast once a day someone asked her that question. Depending on her mood is if she answered or not. Approaching the other girl slowly, Rin laced her hands together behind her back. Walking with a hop in her step, the smile never left her face.

"I like to make myself known. It helps spread join around the place. Gets people's minds off things and makes them smile, even if it lasts 5 seconds."

She giggled and took in the girl's appearance. It kinda reminded her of when she first started out here. Not really wanting to be noticed. Luckily she broke free of the shell and started to become herself again.

Z watched as the girl skipped over to her. She contained a laugh as she watched. It wasn't everyday that you found someone skipping towards you. For a second, her reaction was to run away...but that would have been rude. Especially since, she was in fact the one who called her attention to herself.

Her blue gray eye looked over the girl. She was dressed...very differently than what Z was normally used to. She thought about the girls coment. "Well then I guess your a very good person for that." It was an obsevation, nothing spiteful or mean was ment by it, nor in the way it was said.

Z shoved her hands in her pockets and shrugged. "Well, that outfit should get you noticed." She said looking at the dress. "But it was the bright flash of hair that caught my eye." She chuckled a little and smirked.

Katrina Smith - July 6, 2007 05:10 PM (GMT)
Rin laced her fingers together and placed them in front of her neatly. Smiling back at the girl in front of her, she looked down at her black knee highs and mary jane shoes. Pink ribbon and bow laced through the top of the socks.

"I hope it makes me stand out. It's kinda my thing. Have normal looking hair and then wow everyone with my home made outfits." She held her hand up to her mouth like she was telling a secret, "It's a lot cheaper than buying the duds here."

Zizi Sparrow - July 6, 2007 05:55 PM (GMT)
Z watched as the girl in front of her moved. "Well I think it's working..." She said honestly. She would never wear anything like that, but each to their own. The wind picked a piece of her hair and blew it around. Slightly annoyed she pulled her hand out of her pocket and hooked the stray hair behind her ear.

"It maybe cheaper, but I bet it takes longer." Z said rationalizing it. It would take her forever to do something like that. "And plus if I tried to make my clothes, they'd end up lookin like shit." It was the truth, she had good ideas, but they always turned out shitty.

Katrina Smith - July 7, 2007 11:27 AM (GMT)
The wind blew Rin's hair a bit but she thought nothing of it. Letting her locks blow around in the breeze freely. Smiling at the girl's answer, she nodded a bit. That's what most people said. Making your own clothes was time consuming. Sure it took up a bit of time, but the end results were always worth it. Then you would have something to be proud of.

"It's not that bad when you get use to it. I find it a very creative way of spending one's free time."

Zizi Sparrow - July 7, 2007 06:41 PM (GMT)
Z shrugged and scuffed her foot on the sidewalk. "Im not that artistic. But thats just me." One time when she was little she tried to draw a cat. Well...it looked like an alien or something, but nothing cat like. And it seemed that she wasn't much better in time.

A bird was chirping loudly in a nearby tree. Z's attention was taken by the chirpy bird. She looked back at the girl. "So what brought you to the park today?"

Katrina Smith - July 9, 2007 11:58 AM (GMT)
She thought about it for a moment. Tapping a finger against her lips, her nails were a bright pink color today. In truth she wasn't quite sure why she was in the park today.

"Something to do. I was suppose to meet some friends here today but I think they bailed on me...again. So I'm just making most of my time." She giggled a bit and moved a strand of hair from her face, "You here for the same reason?"

Zizi Sparrow - July 9, 2007 11:28 PM (GMT)
Z shifted her weight off of one foot to her other. She shrugged, "No not really. It was nice and I had the urge to take a walk." She looked down at her shoes, they were kinda dirty from running through the mud. See the story was, she and a friend decided to cut through a yard in the suburbs, well this yard had a dog...need I say more?

"I left a couple of my friends at the apartment, sacked out." She said with a smile. Zac and Eli were sleepin on the couch and floor. They were watching a movie and made it through like fifteen minutes of it...

Katrina Smith - July 10, 2007 03:26 AM (GMT)
"Sounds like fun in it's own way. Gettin away from people is a good thing." She paused for a moment and giggled "I'm starting to believe that's why my friends left me. And we were suppose to go to the movies too."

She bounced on her feet while looking at the girl. "Oh how rude of me, my name is Katrina, but please call me Rina."

Zizi Sparrow - July 10, 2007 03:50 AM (GMT)
Z shrugged, she never really thought of it that way before. But I guess in its own way it was. "Yeah, time alone is always helpful." Rina mentioned going to the movies. "What kinda movie were you goin to see?"

The girl introduced herself. Z smiled and nodded, "Rina. The names Z. Real names Zizi, but not many people call me that."

Katrina Smith - July 10, 2007 12:36 PM (GMT)
Rin looked at Z and shrugged, "Not too sure on what I was gonna go and see. I've seen most movies that are out now, but there still might be one that I wanna watch, ya know?"

Rina spent her time either doing hair, making clothes or going to the movies. It may seem boreing or mundain, but she enjoyed every minute of her life. After all, if you spend your time with the right people, everything is all good.

Zizi Sparrow - July 10, 2007 02:52 PM (GMT)
Z nodded, she hadnt been to the movies for a while now. But she'd gone to a couple movies at least twice. "Yeah, thats cool. Some movies are worth watchin twice...others, arent." She smirked and popped her gum she was chewing.

"Do you go to Chinatown much?" She asked. "Theres a couple of cheapy theaters that play kinda crappy movies, but their funnier than hell."

Katrina Smith - July 12, 2007 02:00 AM (GMT)
"That's where I was gonna head, but I hate seeing movies alone. Last time I tried that, I almost got raped in the theater. " She smiled and shook her head, "Never again, not for me atleast. You know what they be playin there now?"

China town was one of her favorite hangouts. The people there were so friendly and they really knew how to treat someone. Their sense of fashion is what inspired some of the outfits that Rina made.

Zizi Sparrow - July 13, 2007 05:18 AM (GMT)
Z frowned at this. "Yeah...thats one reason I never go alone. All the creeps hang out there." One time when she was there with Zac, an old man tired to convice her to come home with him. And no he wasn't joking.

"Chinatowns cool though. Its one of my favoritw places in New York."

Katrina Smith - July 13, 2007 01:18 PM (GMT)
All this talk about Chinatown made her want to go real bad. There was probably a new shipment of clothes and goodies there. Her eyes got big and she bounced up and down a bit, "Hey, you wanna go with me?! I think they get all their new things today!"

She turned to face the direction of China town and looked happily at Zizi, hopeing that she would say yes. If not, then Katrina would miss all the goodies.

Zizi Sparrow - July 15, 2007 04:35 AM (GMT)
Z shrugged and sighed with a smile. "Sure, why not?" She laughed a little. Kat seemed soo excited about the stuff comeing in. Honestly, Z was too, but there was a slight money problem...so. "I don't have much for money...only a couple dollars." She looked over at Rin. "Hadn't really planned on goin anywhere. Ya know?" She smiled excitedlyt anyway. It'd be something to do in the least.

Katrina Smith - July 18, 2007 12:32 PM (GMT)
Kat smiled and turned to walk in the direction of Chinatown, "Not to worry. I know the owners of one of the shops and she owes me for doing favors for her. I'm sure she'll let us get away with having some things for free."

She skipped a bit and turned around to face Zizi. This girl was pretty nice. She liked her.

Zizi Sparrow - July 19, 2007 02:47 PM (GMT)
Z smiled, "Thats cool. Lets go." She caught up to Kat and walked along side her. She was excetric, but seemed pretty cool.

Z smirked thinking about what she planned on doing. Before meeting up with Katrina, she was going to go around the park, then back home. Really exciting.

Katrina Smith - July 19, 2007 07:34 PM (GMT)
Katrina continued skipping around, ignoring the stares of other people. Several called out her name and waved. She returned the favor. "What is it that you like in Chinatown. Clothing wise I mean. There must be something you have in mind already."

Zizi Sparrow - July 28, 2007 02:51 AM (GMT)
Z watched as they pasted people. People called out to Rina, people that Tigs didnt know. She was looking up at the signs when she was asked something. "What?" She said looking at Rina. "Oh. I like screen tees. That seems to be my big thing right now." She thought about it for a while. "Other than that, it doesn't really matter. I like the writing they have on their stuff." She smiled and continued looking around. Even though she'd been here a million times, she still was slightly awed by everything.

Katrina Smith - August 1, 2007 02:29 PM (GMT)
Rin smiled once the girl answered her question, almost immediately, she thought of the perfect little store to go to and get shirts she may like. But now she had to try and remember how to get there. "I love all the traditional clothes that they have there. I can't wait to see if they have new dresses there."

Zizi Sparrow - August 2, 2007 04:39 AM (GMT)
Zi smiled, "Yeah, I like em. They're pretty, but I'd never wear em." She shrugged and continued to look around. It was like they'd stepped into a whole different country...which they kinda had.
