Darkness, open, TAG: Asher Lot

[Vicky Knight]

Vicky sat on top of a large rock and looked out at the moonlit water. The moon wasn't full but the her vampuric night vision she had no problem making out the little rippels in the nearly still water. She had her arms wrapped around her legs and her chin resting in her knees, lost in thiught. She was starting to get bord with life, it seemed like she done everything and there was just nothing left. Time was draging on but there was never anything knew. Living forever really wasn't all that its cracked up to be, especily alone.

[Asher Lot]

Asher had actually been out hunting, he was refusing blood of Sage and soem5ttimes she did scare him, so he had mostly given up arguing with her and was just taking enough to keep himself healthy enough to not collapse or get Sage on him again. He had taken a mouthful of some random drunk, yes he was still on drunks and hobos, it was in case he killed by mistake, no one that would be missed. Now he was just wandering felling a little better, and stronger already. Sensing someone close by, he walked towards the lake as he made out the outline of a girl which as he crept silently closer. "Hey Vicky", he said quietly, walking up to her, cautiously of course, he was still a nervous person, but he trusted Vicky.

Vicky hadn't been lissening to the world around her and she hadn't senced Asher coming close to her, so when his voice sound behind her she jumpped. Spinning Vicky blew out a sigh of releife and laughed a little sheepishly. "Hello Asher, You scared me." She moved over on her rock, she didn't know if he'd be confortable enough to sit next to her but want to make room just in case. "what bring you out here tonight?"

[Asher Lot]

Ash looked down as she jumped, "Sorry Vicky", he apologised, walking closer and smiling, "Mind if I sit, or ya busy dear", he asked smiling slightly, looking down at her with ashy smile, well polite as always but a lot more comfortable around her than at the start. "Hunger unfotunately", he sighed, feeling bad about that.

Vicky nodded in understanding. "You can sit, is hunt finished tonight?" she asked. curious. The night was young and she hadn't visited any of her dornners yet. other vampires had made fun of her way of hunting in the past but it sutided her. She looked her prey in the eye and they let her drink, she didn't make them.

[Asher Lot]

Ash nodded, slightly embaressed she knew he hated hsi instinctbut still, "Yeah, im finally getting better at controling myself", he shrugged, well that was true so one guy had died from OD and the shock of the bite a week ago, but that wasn't really his fault right? but no one had died from hsi own complete incompetence in a while.

Vicky gave him a full smile, showing her pearly teeth. It had been a long time since she'd smiled like that, not since the last good day she'd spent with... well it's better not to think of those time anymore. Vicky had suffered from her broken heart long enough to know how to avoid the pain of it.

She did find herself generally enjoying herself when Asher was around however, it felt nice, to feel somthing other then fear or depression. "I'm glad your feeling better about our food supply."

[Asher Lot]

Ash grinned back at her, he liked jhhow relaxed he could be around her, he wasn't used tobeing so completely comfortable round someone, and yet now he could start being completely himself with hsi confidence beginning to grow.

"So am I", he said with a sigh, "I can't live oif animals, and I need to keep in control and not kill anyone because of incomptance again", he said, he always felt guilty if he did, but he would feel guilty no matter what.

"Losing control isn't incompitance." She dissagreed. "It's somthing else. the greast of our kind can still lose themselves." She gave a sheepish smile. "You know what I do? To help me feel better about feeding off somone?" She looked down, a little embarrased. "I pay them."

[Asher Lot]

Ash shrugged, "leave it for now", he said quietly, not willing to argue with her, and knowing he'd lose in the end because you know...he was younger and was only starting to learn. "That's a good idea, I follow mine for a bit, make sure nothing can go wrong, you know...be careful and such", he sighed, it seemed smarter in hsi opinion but a lot would call it a waste of time.

Vicky nodded, "Thats a good Idea. Asher? How long have you been a vampire?" She didn't know if this was a senstive topic or not but she was curious.

[Asher Lot]

Asher though there was sarcasm in her voice so blushed slightly and looked at his feet, "Nearly seventeen years, and yeah I was born one", he said looking down, and biting his lip.

Vicky nodded snd bumpped her should against his affectionatly. "Neat," she told him softly. "I was turnned, I asked her to do it and at first she didn't want to, then... well things changed." There was a touch of darkness in her voice at the mermory of those times, they still stung a little.

[Asher Lot]

Ash gave her a nod, "Change happens, but everything happens for a reason, right?", he asked, he was young and had to believe this, too much tuff happened so he had to be right here, but it was good because he still had a slight optimism.

Vicky nodded back, "Thats what I think too, and I don't regret it." SHe smiled. "Life is good right now." She told him, stiffeling a yawn. She did get tired, she knew that some vampires never slept but she did need it rest every five or six days.
