A-yup, Checkmate has pretty much gone 6 feet under. Again. Don't worry, we'll restart it come December. But, there is a new site... Behold, Adamantia! It's been a while since the last sci-fi site. Enjoy. http://s3.invisonfree.com/Adamantia/

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! -jigs- Kiss me, I'm.... not Irish in the slightest. Anyway, you know the "only two accounts and one has to be a human" rule...? Well, to Hell with it - we need members, and I don't know why I made that rule in the first place.

Happy Mardi Gras, everybody!

Center Square
Around the ruins of the destroyed tower is a town, built by those who wished to repair the damage done and make peace between the ever-feuding races over land space. It is split into two halves, the Checkered Village, and the Barriers.

Barriers
The Barriers are what separate the magical from the machine. A large, half-destroyed stone wall, eight feet tall at the highest point and three at the lowest, borders the edges of Player Park. Beyond the wall lies the Joker Compound. Skirmishes often break out here, with magic pouring in from one side and lead from the other. You've been warned.

Ruby Park
One of those old-time carnivals.... painted merry-go-rounds, a Ferris Wheel, one creaky old roller coaster, the boardwalk lining the ocean, a freeway, and an old bandstand. Everything was made of sturdy wood, painted bright red. An arched gate opened up onto the park, topped with what is said to be the biggest ruby in the world. It had been made for Erignon's grand opening, and had been the prize of the isle.

Or, it was. Having long fallen into disrepair, the wood has peeled to a dull rust color, and few disturb the park's solitude. But if you walk under the once-proud archway, the old lights will sparkle again and everything will run.... by itself.

Crumbled Tower
The remnants of the original tower from over a millenia ago. Half of it is burned out and the rest is crumbling, but it's still intact.

Checkered Village
A place of meeting for all people of Erignon. A strict no-fire zone, this is the only place where one is free from all threats (except the humans, who will attack anywhere). If you wish to open a shop here, PM one of the Admin.

Battle Royale
Don't worry, an all-out battle royale hasn't taken place for quite a long time. An open-air stadium where all manner of beings can come to train or duel. Since it's right on the Barriers, an unwary fighter may fall prey to a loose gunshot, but humans will often come to defeat them one-on-one.

Old Battledome
This was the original fighting arena of Erignon, which was burned down in the first human encounter.

Sakura Lake
A little ways off of the Player Park is the Sakura Lake, named so because the thousands of Japanese cherry trees planted on the edges seem to be forever in bloom. Calm and serene on the surface, it represents life, but the bottom is lined with the bodies of the ones who have died over the course of the years.
