Although Winter was known for harsh, cold weather, never did he expect it to be like this, due to the other days only having light snow and brief winds. So why, why was he out here on the streets, a possible snowstorm brewing in? Well...
Cliff, despite living here in the Spring, has been unemployed for quite sometime. Days without a job caused quite the turmoil for him, being forced to live in a forest where the wildlife was. But then again, his love for animals was strong. And now that he actually had a comfortable place to live in, it was obvious as to what the cost was; money. Luckily, the Harvest Goddess was on his side as he one day found an ad for an opening at an Orchard. Not only was it a job opportunity, but he had experience with things like that, so he swallowed no doubt as he decided to go for it. However, his journey to this Orchard was tedious and rough, the coldness stiffening his shoulders. Even with the thick layers clothed on his limps and body, the snow continued to build up as his eyes began to close, weariness resting on his eye lids. Whether he was getting closer, he didn't know. And if he was following the right path... he didn't know that either.
As his steps became firm and slow, things were getting a little... blurry. His coughs and sneezes were inflicting much more pain to his throat as everything caused some harmful impact to him. The frozen flakes that hurt everytime they reached his revealing face, and the cooling wind that tugged him from left to right, and even a few steps back as it blew in random directions. Although giving up seemed to be the best option, and the only one to be honest, the determination to be employed wheeled him through. What a dumb idea, but nonetheless, any other opinion didn't shake him, as his was centered on his mind and strode through the snow-filled road, everything infront of him still a whole blur. Suddenly, a slight clearing was seen, as well as a small house which was painted with light colours caught his eyes, immediately thinking that was his destination. Whether it was or not, at least there was some shelter he could be in. Not thinking of anything else, he followed the covered trail towards the house, his hands waving around to clear the snow blowing into his face. The boy just needed to put this weight off his shoulders - literally.
As the distance between him and the house began to close, the weakest of smiles appeared on his face, freezing in an instant due to the cold. He felt great that his motivation helped him through this tough course, but he also regretted that he didn't prepare this so well. Even with this thick, furry brown jacket, this weather simply couldn't be beat! Nonetheless, there was no turning back, and as the distance finally closed, a loud, harsh cough escaped his lips. After wards, he closed his fingers together and hit the door with his newly-formed fist, hoping someone was in there.
