CASTANET ISLAND
Welcome to Light of the Harvest Moon! We are a Harvest Moon based RP forum set on Castanet Island. We have dozens of canon characters from all the games to pick from, but you can always make your own character as well. Feel free to look around our forums and see what insanity the members have been up too.

Slowly, the snow has melted away and the green grass has been poking it's way up. Flowers have begun blooming again, the trees are leafing, and the fish are swimming. However, the entire island is still not at ease. With the continued search for the missing Harvest Sprites, some of the villagers run around frantic worried about what will happen to the island if they don't find all of the sprites. Also, some villagers have noticed that the sea seems...different. Not as gentle as it used to be. However, not that many villagers are worried about it now though. Is it an omen of things to come?

He had sat up and let out a yawn--so this was going to be one of those mornings. A morning whether the typical lazy musician would decide whether or not he would roll out of bed or sneak in a few extra minutes, or maybe a hour or so, of precious sleep. He didn't know what time it was, nor did he really care, the German had simply rubbed his eyes with bottom of his palms while stuck in some sort of thought. He had mumbled something in German, then chuckled in a low voice--perhaps laughing at his own jokes. But then sighed as he let out a soft groan, moving himself off of the bed. There he stood in his boxers, his musical note boxers, not that anyone would ever see him in his boxers. He picked his glasses off from the nightstand, slowly and most groggily, moved himself over towards the small mirror that hung on the wall.

He stared at himself for a moment or two, noting his sleepy bed hair and his slightly bloodshot eyes. He didn't know what the weather was like. He cared about that a little, not wanting to walk up to the church in the pouring rain, if it was raining outside, of course. But did he want to stay inside even if it was sunny and beautiful out? Well, perhaps. Adel just kept on staring at his eyes, as if really focusing on what he was thinking about. "Perhaps." He mumbled to himself, making some sort of progress on the decision. Finally, he sighed and nodded, walking back over to the bed, rolling upon it with a satisfied smile as he went to go remove his glasses. "A few more minutes would be lovely."

But of course, as soon as he touched his glasses, there was a very loud bang upon his door--causing him to jump up quickly, taking him from his sleepiness completely. His eyes went wide as he jumped out of the bed, quickly throwing on his white button up, not bothering to button up in the rush of things, as well as forgetting that he was just in his boxers as well.

He rushed to open the door and frantically looked around, then noticed a head of red hair under his view. He glanced down, his worried look escaped him as he vaguely recalled this girl, one who wouldn't stop about her wanting him to play for her. "I don't know whether to ask if you're okay or if there is something you needed." He spoke up, more like down, to her. "But I suppose for gentleman's sake, are you okay?" He sighed.

Soon the thought of sleep caught up to him again, he rubbed his eye from under his glasses once more as he listened to the girl speak about how she was okay and the like. He tuned her out a little bit, listening for only important bits. He paused for a moment and glanced down to her with an odd look in his eyes, "...You found me?" He restated, "Well, that didn't sound strange at all." He spoke in a soft mumble to himself then continued to listen to her. He sighed with content, she was okay and didn't fully injure herself on his door, that would have been a bit of a problem. She was still sitting on the floor, which made Adel lean against the door frame.

Then came her request, after first he listened but of course, Adel replied by rolling his eyes, "Another time." He replied, "I'm busy." He continued. He was busy with wanting to sleep and certainly didn't feel up to being bothered by some hyperactive redhead girl. But yet, he was still willing to keep his door open and possibly have some sort of conversation with the girl, but then he had noticed she had been looking him up and down. Of course, he didn't exactly look his best, but Adel wasn't going to say anything, only pretend he hadn't noticed.

Then she made a comment about his boxers. His expression became a bit serious as he pressed his thumb and his index finger against his eyes, as if resisting his own embarrassment of opening the door with no pants on. He didn't know how to respond to that, only gritting his teeth together, he paused, "...Thank you." He spoke simply. He wasn't sure if he should just outright deny her request or if he should just close the door now, not wanting to bring himself more embarrassment. He chose the second choice, "Excuse me." He spoke, beginning to close the door.

(I hate you both for going on without me, I'M SORRY IF I HAVE A JOB.)

Since the inn was one of the closer establishments that was actually open, Marle had decided to run over there in middle of the day to see if she could get some change. There were a lot of bigger denominations in her cash register, so before the bar got too crazy, she figured it would be wise to get stuff to actually make change with. Yeah, some days she had business sense.

Throwing on her leather jacket, she went out into the chilly fall air and ran up the steps to the inn. Thankfully, it was just above her, so she wouldn't be out in the chill all that long. But still, it was so late in the season that the winter air was slowly moving forward as well so that it was enough to leave a little sting in your cheeks if you weren't probably bundled, which Marle wasn't. She shivered slightly against the chill as she opened the door to the inn, stepping inside the rather sparse lobby. Even though a family had recently taken it over, the poor building was still in need of a lot of work. But that was like the pot calling the kettle black for the Brass Bar as well, there was still a ton of work left to do.

She looked around the lobby, hoping to find a worker or the innkeeper, but before she could get a good look around she heard a huge thud coming from the hallway where the rooms were. Half out of curiosity and half out of concern Marle quickly made her way back there to find a red-head yelling at one of the doors while attempting to keep it open. "Natalie?" she questioned cautiously. She didn't remember if that was the girl's name, but was almost sure it was. "What are you doing to the door?"

The door wasn't closing, his eyes widened, why wasn't the door closing fully? He quickly spied her fingers curling around the door, trying to open it once more. He bit his lower lip and glanced down towards the ground, seeing that her foot was in the way. "Damn it girl, move your foot!" He spoke her, "I can do as I please." But it was her next comment that actually managed to send a small shiver down his spine--she broke the law to find him!? This girl was insane, and he had to close the door. Adel was almost afraid she was going to proclaim some sort of marriage proposal to him.

"Just leave me alone!" He responded, "It's my personal business, and I do not need your help and I am certainly not going to play for you!" He stated, his back pressed against the door, just trying to keep her from opening the door, even if she wasn't going to move her foot so he could be left in peace.

Soon another voice came into the scene, he had to remember who that voice was--if it was a friend or if it was someone who would aid this girl in opening the door. But then she questioned the girl Natalie about what she was doing, in which Adel quickly responded, "She's trying to open it! Please pull her foot from the door!" He sounded as if he was begging for assistance.

Honestly, she couldn't tell if this entire situation was hilarious, or just depressing.

She stood there amidst the yelling, the pleading, and the conflicting suggestions. At first, she couldn't place who was behind the door, but then Natalie called him by name. It was Adel. What the heck was Natalie doing at Adel's door, at the inn nonetheless?

After Natalie's fearful plea, Marle couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her sudden clinging to the door. Yeah, Marle hadn't even though of attempting to carry the girl off and end up in another mess. "Um, Natalie?" She said taking a few steps closer to the door, placing a hand on it. "I think you're going about this wrong way."

Seriously, what was she, a school teacher? Marle thought she had left the days of fighting and drama back in high school, but NO. Now she had to play mediator again, granted she may have pushed the situation a little bit as well, but still! How was she to know that Natalie would take it to these extremes?

"First off, maybe you should take you foot out of the door."

Adel had just kept his weight on the door, waiting for some sort of movement; he didn't even care if when the door closed and he fell down on the ground. He had heard Marle tell Natalie to move her foot, but the redhead hadn't moved. It was just coming to the point where he would maybe compromise with the young woman. "I would just like to sleep for a few more minutes." Adel spoke up, "I will play, but not anytime soon.." He told Natalie on the other side of the door.

He let out a groan, obviously, this girl was not going to give up easy and now... He lost his want for more sleep. Adel was not a happy camper anymore, well, he wasn't before. "Whatever, I'm awake now." He let out a soft groan as he pulled himself off of the door, opening it slightly to reveal both faces of Natalie and Marle. His eyes shifted to Natalie, he wasn't very pleasant looking, "Here's a deal, go get me coffee and I'll play for you, in a month." A part of him was being completely sarcastic, but he was curious if she would actually believe him.

She slowly backed away from the door as Adel seemed to reluctantly open it. She was a tad shocked to find him in his boxers and a buttoned up shirt, which was obviously not buttoned. She couldn't help but raise her eyebrows a bit, she would have never thought Adel would be the type of person to wear...musical note boxer shorts.

Coffee? That was his deal? He was actually giving in to Natalie? Crap. A lot of thoughts ran through Marle's head, but the main one was, Now I have to play for people! Even after all her years of experience, she still hated playing in front of anyone. She seriously though she had had a year, or maybe even two before Adel began to break down, and now she only had a month? Unless he was joking, oh Goddess how she was joking.

She was able to take her mind off her own fear and problems when Natalie turned to her and asked where she could get coffee. Now!? The impending doom was coming closer and closer. All she wanted to do, was run away out of the inn and pretend like she never walked in on the conversation, unfortunately she had made a bet, a bet she wouldn't back out of. She sighed before saying, "Probably the here or..." she acted like she was trailing off, but really she didn't want to add that her bar had a small coffee supply. Hoping to change the subject, and hoping neither of them would notice her stopping she then said, You know, you don't need the coffee right now."

[Wow, that's really OOC for Marle. D8 ]

She had looked almost extremely calm when she had spoken up, which surprised Adel quite a bit actually. A change of heart, perhaps? Or rather, a change of personality. He mumbled something under his breath in German, rubbing his left eye with the bottom of his palm once more. Adel had blinked a few minutes, waiting for some sort of answer from Marle--he would have at least thought that Natalie had known of a place she could get him a cup of coffee. He sighed softly, resting himself against the door frame. "Natalie." He started, "I wasn't being serious. I still won't play for you." He simply continued.

He glanced between the two before running his hand through his thick hair, "Now if you ladies don't mind, I am going to go get changed." With that said, he stepped back into his room and shut the door promptly before Natalie could interfere anymore. But how embarrassing, he had been standing all that time in his boxers and an almost bare chest, in front of two ladies as well. He shivered slightly, considering it rather improper of himself. He sighed before putting on the rest of his clothing. While fixing his jacket, he scolded himself once or twice before moving towards the door, unsure if he should open it once more, not sure if the two girls would be standing out there in front of him.

Just about as Adel was going to deem it safe to leave the room, all he could hear was Natalie's voice, completely determined to win him over. There was something odd about that girl, aside from the fact that she was a nut-case in his eyes. He placed his head into his hands and rubbed his eyelids with long middle finger. This was certainly going to be a long day, wasn't it? She questioned him about her favorite kind of coffee, he sighed. His favorite was the one that he made from special ingredients back home.

"I don't have a favorite." He answered simply, loud enough for her to hear it through the door. A part of him just didn't want to come out of the room now, afraid that the girl would tackle him the moment he came out. "Unless you plan on going to Germany." He mumbled, knowing that she couldn't hear it through the door. "Please don't yell, I can hear you just fine without people across town hearing you." He told her through the door, resting his hand on the door knob once more.

He sighed, making the final decision to open the door, unknowing that she was leaning all of her weight upon the door. So he finally turned the knob and opened the door to face those two women.
