There’s a killer on the streets tonight.

Me.

Under cover of darkness I prowl. Past sleeping houses. Down darkened back alleys. Every sight, sound and smell telling me a story. Leading me closer. Showing me the way.

To my next victim.

The last time I read one of these, it was a mosquito described in terms of vampirism. :-) :-P

On the other hand, cats are pretty sociopathic at the best of times...

This was fluffy, but fun. The obvious events were too straightforward to be taken straightforwardly so throughout it I was trying to guess what the twist would be. My guess was wrong, I thought that his victim was really a predator (a vamp or something) waiting to prey on him. Then all the hints about giving the prey a glimmer of hope and then turning it back on them could be referring to himself indirectly.

So points for a twist that I didn't predict.

And, hey look, my name in the feedback as saying "quite a lot". That gave me a chuckle. smile.gif
