to caprice of dusk

Welcome to Caprice of Dusk, a Zelda roleplay site based on time period separating Ocarina of Time from Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. We're quite a unique roleplay, with a very different gaming/questing mechanism, and we make sure we incorporate everyone in our central plot.

hyrule field
A vast, wide field located directly in the center of Hyrule. The area is bright and lush, filled with soft green grass and many paths. It does hold its fair share of dangers, however, especially at night.

Need something around the house? A weaponsmith? A matchmaker? Hyrule's market town has just about everything to suit the needs of everyone it draws in. Plus, there are many opportunities to be had on the selling end as well.

kakariko village
At the base of Death Mountain lies a small village, quaint and usually fairly quiet. The city doesn't hold much besides a few shops, a windmill, a well, and a graveyard, but the citizens don't seem to mind.

death mountain
Death Mountain, whose name rings truer than most, is actually a large volcano with dangers lurking all around. If you decide to travel inside, however, you may just find the city of the Gorons, or the Fire Temple.

kokiri forest
Kokiri Forest is the home to a race called the Kokiris and is located in the eastern part of Hyrule. It is actually a very, very peaceful place and because of this there are many fairies and forest critters running about.

lost woods
Connected to Kokiri Forest are thick, confusing woods that have truly earned their name over the years. The Lost Woods are filled with fallen trees, empty stumps, and even a few forest animals of its own.

zora river
The main source of water for Hyrule is actually Zora's river, a long, winding river that snakes through the entire continent. It is also connected to the home of the Zora's and can be followed to their domain simply by going upstream.

lake hylia
Lake Hylia is another huge source of Hyrule's water, and much like Zora's river, is bright and crystal clear. The sparkling lake is very inviting on a hot summer's day and is a well known attraction for people visiting.

gerudo valley
Gerudo Valley is a humid, dry place filled with very little. The Fortress that houses the race of female thieves is nearly the only landmark around, though it isn't surprising. With the heat of the place and the territorial nature of the women themselves, not many people choose to even visit.
