I made my 2nd visit for 2012 on May 26th. I thought about going on Sunday the 17th, especially after hearing that 2 Canobie Fans planned on going - but opted for the hotter Saturday since I was anxious to stand in front of Boston Tea Party & get my backside soaked again! The park was really crowded, making me wonder if I should've waited until Sunday instead. The strange thing was that while some rides had really long lines, others had almost no line at all.
Rides went on:
Crazy Cups
Psycho-Drome
Mine of Lost Souls
Twist & Shout
Wave Blaster
Blue Heron
Sky Ride
Caterpillar
While on the Blue Heron, I
saw a blue heron!
On the Wave Blaster, another lady sat with me. As you probably know, the more weight that's in the seat, the higher/harder it bounces! The seat was doing some
awesome bounces, and did one WICKED bounce right at the end. You
know it's bouncing really good when I let out a few shrieks!

That was my BEST Wave Blaster ride ever!! I wish they could all be like that!
This marked the very first time ever that I didn't go on the Antique Carousel.
Food:
2 slices of cheese pizza & a bottle of water (Pizza Ria)
vanilla soft serve ice cream in a cup (funnel cake place)
They offer something new for ice cream at the funnel cake place - kind of hard to explain.... They put flavoring on the outside, but it's not a dip - the flavor is dispensed along with the ice cream, and goes just on the edges. They have several different flavors, and one that I think is called "twisty" - which is a few different flavors on the same serving. That one is very colorful from the picture!
Games:
Soccer Fortune - 103 points!
Shows:
Wildlife Encounters (most of the 11:00 and all of the 1:00)
I'm thrilled to see this show return again! Erica was the presenter. The animals presented were a cuscus (a type of opossum), an Argentinian white headed tegu (lizard), a green wing macaw, and of course a Burmese python. (She brought the "small" one.) The small aquarium animals that people could go up close to see were a 3 toed box turtle, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, and an African pygmy hedgehog. I
almost volunteered to help hold the python at the 11:00 show, because there was hardly anyone there & not a lot of people had volunteered. I decided not to though, because I know that even the "small" python is heavy at 55 pounds & I'm that physically strong.
Extreme Science (2:00)
I'm thrilled to see this show return for pre-season again! Steve already gave details about the show in a TR, so no need to repeat here. Be sure not to miss this great show if you're in the park during pre-season!
I'm embarrassed to say that I gypped myself out of 4 hours of park time...

I forgot this was the weekend that they started to stay open until 10:00 (or later) and left the park just before 6:00. I was confused that some people who were walking out the gate in front of me were having their hands stamped, not understanding why they would be stamping hands when the park would be closing in 5 minutes. Then I realized that the park must be staying open later. I was going to turn around instead of exiting, but had told my mom & kitty that I'd be home by 6:30. Besides, I hadn't had a Red Bull in the morning before leaving the house. I always drink one before leaving when the park is open that late, to make sure that I don't fall asleep on the drive home! I was mad at myself for not checking the schedule in the morning....
