I have a quick question for you fine folks here on CanobieFan. Does anyone know how many times the Tiki Room has caught on fire? Particularly the one in WDW? I can only find out about the one in 2011, but I feel like it's happened before, but am not 100% certain.

It's only the one time. There were no other fires that I know of. the ride has gone through a handful of changes over the last 40 years. Most of them in the last 15 years.

It's only the one time.  There were no other fires that I know of. the ride has gone through a handful of changes over the last 40 years. Most of them in the last 15 years.

I've noticed on many forums and articles that people refer to non-ride attractions as rides, whether they are movies, shows, or walk-through attractions. It's a pet peeve of mine and it's simply illogical and makes no sense. You sit and watch a show, yet people call it a ride.

I'm normally good about differentiating between ride, show, movie. my mind was so on the question that i said ride without really thinking of it.

I have a similar peeve about people calling tower rides flat rides.
