Building behind Untamed, currently under construction

Anyone have an idea as to what this will be?

This is going to be a photo building just like the Log Flume has.

There will also be Untamed Merchandise sold out of it.

I am hoping they will put a new area back there with a couple new thrills next year. there is a big cleared put in the back

The building is for the On ride and gift shop.

There is a large concrete slap the back it is a footer for an event tent. it has been there for a while.

The park has lot of work to do so I doubt we will see a new ride in that area, maybe a relocated one.

One think I can guarantee is they will not ad a thrill ride in that area. the noise form the ride would violate the noise restrictions on the park.

I agree with what you said under another topic - the park might move another older ride there and put a new one in it's place to keep down traffic in tht area rather than cram new rides in (Im almost completly quoting mrceagle on that guys!)

The area can be used for a few exciting attractions. I would like to see a second dark ride, a Freida on mine suggested a rope adventure course. The only real worry is the noise level produced by the attraction.

I would LOVE to see another dark ride at canobie, they could really continue with the bear, woods theme - and since it's indoors its quiet! If Canobie is planning one anytime - please tell me!!! CUZ I WANNA HELP :D

Does anybody have an update on this, will it be open for haloween?

not much for updates. I heard it could be ready for Screeemfest. but i guess it will depend on staffing.

It was open last Sunday. Minimal merchandise and the video screens. No signs at the ride exit directing you there yet.

They still have some work to do but it's up and running. while there is no sign I saw most people head towards it anyways. prices are good 9.95 for one 18 for 2

Just went and it looked good! there is now two seperate walk ways to split the exit and the shop up. They are also starting construction again across the new building!

It's take n a while but I'm wrapping up the pages for my photos on my last trip I have photos of the finished building and the photo area.

It's one of the ones I build and post on the Photos.newwhalom.com. I'm still wrapping it up. didn't get as much done yesterday as I expected.

I noticed that there was a lot of construction going on when i passed in the untamed area. I guess the roast beef building will be up and running this season!

That was the plan. they were going to use the cart for 2011 and figure out something more permanent in 2012. the mall is proposed to have more work down for 2012 also.

What are the chances of that Roast Beef stand having beer?

If it's a stand, it won't have beer, Canobie only has alcohol at its sit down restaurants (dancing bear, portofino, tavern) as to the alcohol must be consumed inside the dining area.

That I'm not sure of. though if they did it would be goo placement for the option. you figure Son of Liberty is in the back center. Portifinos in the back north corner. Dancing bear in the front south corner. so this would offer the front north corner. pretty good coverage.

I wanna see a hawk and a new sit down restraunt over there next year. And it wouldn't hurt for a new stage and area to sit.

I don't think we need a 4th stage. if they were to set up a BMX/skate stunt show in the paved plot in front of Untamed Fine. they could recycle the old metal bleachers. but they don't need a complex stage.

Think is if they put the hawk in that area they are Puting their newest rides in one spot. If it were me I woudl put it on the opposite side of the park. between the Ferris wheel and the photo building.

Im' not positive on where that spot is that you are talking about.

I always thought of them moving the animal show over there so they could ease of the amount of people in the midway stage area.

It's across the new midway path from Untamed's Entrance. There was a concession tent there for most of last season. and it's against the parks white office building.
