Well fellow Canobites, here we are. Monday, November 2, 2009 A. C. (After Canobie) and once again our beloved playground is closed until next spring. sad.gif

The website has already kicked off their countdown clock, 172 days until Opening Day 2010.....

http://www.canobie.com/

I just want to take this opportunity to thank the staff and management of CLP for another fantastic year, and for the best Opening Day so far. I think about 12 CanobieFans were there on Opening Day!

I made 12 trips during the regular season (tying my record for last year) and 3 during ScreeemFest (one trip short of last year's SpookyWorld). Three of them stand out--opening day meeting several CanobieFans for the first time; the Friday before Labor Day where I hung out with the gang from Bates Entertainment; and October 17 at ScreeemFest with my niece and her boyfriend.

As we say goodbye for the winter, please share your personal highlights for the 2009 season here.

not too bad. Seems to be the trend for the last few years. at least they don't fight with Six flags for opening weekend.

I Would also like to thank all teh employees that worked at the park bringing us another great year. I especially want to thank the Employees that worked Screeemfest and to Gary the Manager for the walk around characters you put together a fantastic team. i can't wait to see how thing improve and mature next year.

A countdown clock - how cool! I just love how they pinpointed it to the exact second, too! Highlights for me.... let's see.... There was my first trip back to the park in something like 20 years, as well as my first boat ride ever & my first ride on the Wave Blaster, on July 11 ... Meeting my first Canobie Fan on August 1 ... My first ride on the Crazy Cups, as well as having my picture taken in a pirate costume, as well as the best fireworks display ever on September 5 ... and my first visit to Screeemfest, plus 2 repeat rides on the Crazy Cups, plus being made a small part of the Monster Bash show, on October 23! I would also like to thank all the regular season & Screeemfest employees for a fantastic year!

Its closing time, I'm so sad. The winter seems like it lasts forever. I didn't get to go to canobie as much as I wanted because I was trying to save some money. I only got to go to Screeemfest once and didn't get to go into the haunted attractions. But its okay. At least I got to go once per month.

Awesome year! I got in a record 3 trips! Haha. Kind of pale in comparison to JPsteve, but hey :]

I had a truly wonderful time every trip. The rides, the atmosphere. Perfect.
I think this is one of the best seasons Canobie has ever had in recent history.

A big thanks to all the staff. Some standout staff members were a Corkscrew ride-op who sang "I'm a Little Teapot," "Do, Re, Me," and some songs by Bob Dylan while we waited in line laugh.gif
Another was one of the park managers who handled a line-hopping situation very well all while coolly sipping on an iced coffee, my favorite part =
Complaining Guest: "Get me the manager."
Manager: "I am the manager." cool.gif

and of course all the exceptional actors at ScreeemFest.

Awesome season!
