It was VERY dissapointing to see a star thrill ride this year be closed basiclly the whole season.

What do you think they will do to boost up the ride. The park has kept it closed over half the season of 2011! tHEY NEED to do something.

well now that they have the part in they need it will be fine. Down fall is not all the parts are in stock but made to order when needed. The parks whether built or in stock have to be shipped form Germany to the US. which means going through customs.

Yes, Canobie works on the Frisbee every off season. It'll be good until they need another part, basically what mrceagle is saying.

Yeah, that's the downfall of having any European ride. The parts have to be shipped from Europe.

While it may sound strange to put something like that through customs, A German showman was once caught smuggling tons(literally, tons) of cocaine inside of his rides, after a South American park failed. I think it was inside a traveling Schwarzkopf looping coaster, actually.

Exactly and look at the Delorian the car literally had Snow Tires!

think is most ride companies are in Europe. there are only a hand full of rides companies in the US. There are a few though that have parks distribution centers in the US.

oh haha well that won't work here haha. I think they need to strip the ride and find the problems, clean it up and the area were its in, then place back in.

The ride has not had constant down time. it's more the turn around from some maintenance issues.

I would however like to see then remove the portable tanks and mechanisms and pertinently install it.

It kinda has. Mabey a few days they got it running for a little. But over 90% of the season it was closed.

I agree that they should do that with the ride it would make it look nicer.

It wasn't anywhere near 90% not unless I have amazingly good luck. Every trip I took it was running.

You can read more in the TR I posted, but Im working in the maintenance dept this year and all yesterday I was working on the ride. The ride system has been completely re done with new ride cycles. The OTSR's also have been adjusted so they no longer slam upward after the ride is done. Hopefully the ride should be up and operating for the season!
