SFNE 8/12/12, Super long lines.

I arrived at the park at around 12:00. I've never been on a GIB so we decided to ride Goliath first. The line was extremely long. We had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes. Better yet, the ride broke down TWICE in line. Talk about unreliable. Then, we decided to go on the bumper cars because it didn't have a line. So after, we rode Catapult. No line, and it was really thrilling. After that, we rode on Cyclone. The line was manageable, at about 30 minutes. Kind of rough. So then we got hungry, and went to the new JB's Barbecue place. It was OK. Then, we took a trip across the park. I wanted to ride Batman, but the rest wanted to go to the water park. But I reallly like Batman. So I rode Batman alone. At the entrance, there were park employees telling us that the ride was having technical difficulties. So I waited 5 minutes, watching people leave the queue, and the ride opened. So many people had left that the queue length was about 15 minutes! The ride was extreme and exhilarating. After, I went to Hurricane Harbor, and waited for half an hour, when we finally left. I rode Batman again, and the line was 45 minutes long! After Batman, it got kind of late, so we finally got in line for the NUMBER ONE COASTER AT THE PARK, Bizarro!!! The ride, you guessed it, had technical difficulties. So we waited 5 minutes AGAIN. The queue opened, and the wait was 45 minutes to an hour. We rode it, and it was absolutely amazing. Best ride of my life, other than the fact that there was no audio. After we left, I rode Joker's Wildcard (pathetic) and then went on one last ride of the day, Scream! It was OK. The reason I didn't ride anything else were the lines. So, That's all, folks!

Nice little report. sucks there were so many technical problems.

^Yeah, it was pretty bad.

I went for my birthday in july and the park was dead. When i was waiting in line for goliath it broke down once but it only took 2 minutes to fix.

The same day I was there I saw that the train got stuck in the second valley in between the loop and the second tower.

Seems like July is a good time to go. Goliath broke down for about 10 minutes each time. Hopefully I can go again in September when the park has nobody.

Yeah july is great to go. Especially the week after the forth. I go then and even bizarro is a walk on!

Six flags is notorious for broken down rides. At least they typically get them back up running fairly quickly.

^ But thy shouldn't have them breaking down all the time though

They have gotten better about getting rides back up and running.

Downfall here is the chin has kept rides that have been known to be trouble sum and on top of then many of the rides at SFNE are more then 10 years old.

I honestly don't think there is a single coaster there that was first opened after 2002.

EDIT: Nope, I was wrong, Pandemonium was opened in 2005, but it is the only one.

Batman was introduced in 02 pandy in 05. all the flats were added in 96-2000. except for what was already there. Catapult and Splash water falls I believe was added to Astro world in 03 or 4.

Some people are saying a new b&m wing rider next year for the park......uhm false.

It would be a nice addition since it would be a brand new coaster after 7 years. But there hasn't been any town meeting reported about this so thats hard to belive.

Thing you have to understand is that many of the posters on that site are very demanding. they thing they deserve the latest giant coaster.

I honestly never got the hype about wing coasters. (well, I've never been on one, so how should I know?) I've said this before, but I want a Giga with crazy ejector airtime!
