This was the first time I’d ever gone to the park 3 weeks in a row! For the first time this year at Screeemfest, I had to wear my silk thermals. The warm temps were nice while they lasted!

I ran into Steve & BenJamesBen outside the entrance. Steve was waiting for family members, so Ben & I headed into the park.

Rides went on:
Twist & Shout
Crazy Cups (2x – one time with Steve & pubman)
Psycho-Drome (shared my car with a complete stranger, for the first time ever)
Caterpillar
Dragon Coaster
Over the Rainbow (with Steve & pubman)
Antique Carousel (with Steve & pubman)

While I was waiting in line for Psycho-Drome, something caught my eye because of a conversation that was taking place next to me. The people were talking about how it looked like a new ride was going in a certain spot. That’s when I noticed a lot of sticks with pink cloth set up marking out an area. At first I thought it was just to mark where the tent had been – until I noticed that the beer dispensers had been moved. I’d heard that the park may be getting a new ride in 2012, and thought this might be where it was going – although I was a bit confused, since that area is part of the catering area. Time will tell!

Food:
Cheese pizza & Diet Pepsi (Pizza Ria)
Cinnamon glazed cashews (The Nutty Bavarian cart) (The smell had been driving me nuts for the previous couple weeks, because it smelled SO GOOD. It wasn’t until the previous week that Steve & I figured out where it was coming from!)

Games:
Soccer Fortune – 214 tickets!!

Shows:
Mini KISS (7:00) Dancer Mia Velez joined Steve & I at the back of the tent for the show again, and the 3 of us had a ball dancing. She gave us each a hug, and we took photos with her. A couple started dancing during the song “Beth”, which I thought was cute. Mia gave Steve & I hugs again before having to dash off to get ready for the 10:00 Madonna show. We ran into pubman afterwards! Steve had run into him earlier, but this was the first I’d seen him all evening. I also got to meet some of Steve’s family!

Madonna (10:00) (I saw a little bit of the 6:00 show from a picnic table near Pizza Ria while I was eating but could hear it really well there. I caught the last part of the show after I was done eating. I can’t remember now what time the other show was at, but Steve & I watched a little bit of it.) Pubman caught up with Steve & I after the show. We sat on the wall at the exit ramp of Yankee Cannonball, and just chilled out. We saw mini KISS leaving, then dancers Miki, David & Cedric, then Melissa. We finally saw Mia leaving this week! We said bye to her & said “see you next week”. (Little did I know that the park would be closed the following weekend due to a nor'easter!)

I watched the fireworks with Steve & pubman. (We had lost track of Steve earlier, and I jokingly told pubman that he was getting sick of me! )

Alan Kaye (Ozzy) was walking around the park for photos & autographs. He also rode in the hearse for the monster parade. I watched the parade with Steve & pubman.

Steve & I hung around the park right up until closing. We didn’t linger around since it was so cold, but went straight to our cars instead & waited for the gridlock. The Ghostbusters car drove past me in the parking lot around 11:27. I left a few minutes after that.

I didn’t get in a lot of rides again, but still had a great time!

I had hoped to finally redeem my winning game tickets, but didn’t get around to it. Since I was deprived of being at the last weekend of Screeemfest, I hope I won’t have a problem redeeming them in the 2012 season.
