The Site: http://www.lakecompounce.com/holidaylights

Video Preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAVvlXLaZJ0&feature=related

Admission is only $14.99 but is it really worth going? The site says select family rides will be open. What about Ghost Hunt, Revolution, and the coasters?

No coaster except maybe the kiddie coaster.

The park will only be about a third open. nothing up hill to he back. Bumper cars are the only ride in the back portion.

Carousel, kiddie land, train are the only other rides open.

It should be a good event. though I think it will pail in comparison with Santa's Village.

Same here if I can get down to it. Though I have been saying that about Edaville for years.

Re: Edaville, I visited last Christmas, and I was very disappointed. The train ride is short, the museum building is stale and hasn't been updated in ages, and the rides were in very poor condition...tons of rust, blocked off seats, and broken pieces and parts showing. I was actually scared by the condition of some of the rides.

Ya, regretfully when we went to the Buyer presentation we did not have time to walk the park. The train line was shortened a few years back to pt out the line that cut into the property they sold. They is a chunk of track that could be purchased to extend the line. Scary to think the rides are in bad shape yet they invest in a bumper car attraction instead of rehab.

LC should do well. Not sure what competition they will have for Christmas displays. I don't recall CT having much. there is a huge display in Springfield so they may not have much of a draw form the MA area.

nothing to the back of the park is scheduled to be open. so that would include ghost hunt.
