Title: New web host

I notice from the canobiefan.com front page that you'll be moving to a different web host (nearlyfreespeech.net, the same one I use).
Do you think that you might move the forum onto the new site, rather than keeping this one? Hosting your own forum is more work, but it would give you flexibility to have it exactly the way you want it.

Yeah making your own forums isn't that hard. Invisionfree is actually MORE work! :Ahh:
You will have to have a SQL database though...

On my new web site,
www.hudson-online.com, I used godaddy.com as my domain registrar and my host. I pay something like $3.20 per month for Unix hosting which includes an SQL database. What are you paying now for hosting James?

If it's the same plan that godaddy currently offers, the $3 plan doesn't appear to include Perl or CGI. However, in theory it should be possible to do pretty much the same things using PHP which is included.

Umm, you can't move from Invisionfree.... you'd lose all the posts on this one. it cant be moved.

Well, yes you'd lose the existing posts. However, you could still move the forum. You could even also re-post selected discussions-- the "best of", so to speak.
