Title: i wish funtown would by comet flyer

methos - January 27, 2005 11:31 PM (GMT)
i sent the falloing e-mail to funtown usa.

please take a look at whalom park's comet flyer roller coaster. it was a great coaster that now sits in the old shell of the park. with a little tlc and a new home it would be a great coaster again.

i think funtown would be a great home for it. the coaster is well known in the north east, ace would definatly return to ride it. the land owner has no real intrest in saving it. funtown is a great home for a classic ride like that. look at the love their is for exclibur in the coaster world. to add yet anouther wooden coaster to the collection at funtown would bring a whole new feel to the park.

this coaster is endager of being lost for ever. please at least consider the possibility of moving it. contact the american coaster enthusits as well. i am sure they would love to help give it a new home. heck i know i would love to run a fund rasiser to bring it some where so it could be saved. imagine that it is funtown usa on the cover of an ace magazine for saving this great ride.

i encorage everyone who reads this message to pass along any thing good they can say about the comet and how wounder ful it would be inside funtown.

i am tring to get them to look at the flyer as an oppertunaty and save this coaster for future genorations. i have talked with the owner on differnt occasions and he is very much in tune with what people would like to see. he is a very nice person and would probly think about this idea if a lot of people jumped up in support of it.

this is a shot in the dark, but i am not gonna stand by and do nothing and watch yet anouther great coaster die a horrific fate.

Not a bad idea. I tryed this with Clarks trading post regardign a carousel. it didn't hapon and I never heard back from them.

I wouldn't mind seeign them get it. it woudl save the ride. personaly i think yorks woudl do batter to have it.

i myself have been to Funtown splashtown many times and have riddin excalibur 22 times and have enjoyed every ride. I have been to whalom park only once and was only big enough to watch the ride but i will ride anything and i think funtyown should definetly think about it.
