Title: Deja Vu coming Six flags new england 2012
canobie#1 - August 23, 2011 11:41 PM (GMT)
Hello everyone i wanted to start a topic on the new coaster. I am new so tell me how i do. Deja Vu we be removed from SFMM this october and be sent up to SFNE for the 2012 season. It will replace Shipwreck Falls. The reason why they are removing SWF is because they say it is a nightmare to maintain. There is no plans to remove flashback in the near future. [Don't know why] Expect to hear the anouncment this september. Thanks for reading :)
mrceagle - August 24, 2011 04:13 AM (GMT)
not a bad post, check spelling though
I really hate this move. they are removing shipwreck claiming it is a nightmare to maintain but they are adding Deja Vu which is one of the worse coaster to maintain on the planet. While it's a thrilling coaster it's cheap trick and horrible capacity. They really could have used the land for something better.
On a side not I have coverage of this and other New England park addition of the whalom forums. Hope this helps you.

* actually edaville railroad will be getting a new family coaster next year. formely in enchanted forest amusment park it will be move somewhere in the park. Just wanted to tell you so you can put it on the list :)
mrceagle - September 13, 2011 12:26 AM (GMT)
Been quite a while and heard nothing from Edaville. I will most likely have to call them. In all news for New England has been slow expect for new haunts for this October.
canobie#1 - September 14, 2011 09:36 PM (GMT)
Ya. you should. i think that this will good for them if they get it. They need more rides.
smartcanobiekid - September 15, 2011 01:37 AM (GMT)
Just saw this. It seems to make no sense to have deja vu and flashback. If I'm not mistaken they are virtually the same ride except deja vu is inverted. I agree with mrceagle that it seems like a waste of the space.
mrceagle - September 16, 2011 01:27 PM (GMT)
canobie#1 - are you talking about SFNE or edaville, if we wish to discus edaville start a new topic or dig up the topic I started a year ago.
smartcanobiekid - I really think this is a shut up ride, what I mean like that is the Enthusiasts are complaining and some GP that the park has only been adding small coasters and kiddie rides. so they throw in an inappropriate large ride just to , well, shut them up.
my biggest complaint is they are removing a family ride, one of the few in the park and adding a thrill ride.
canobie#1 - September 16, 2011 09:01 PM (GMT)
That is correct, I was and i'll make a new page. About Deja Vu, i think it will be fun. I have have herd its been on a lot of the visitor's top ten rides at SFMM. Though there will be a lot of maintnance. But who knows mabey they will renovate so its not too much work. I do hope they remove flashback soon though  it's just not fun. ecxpescialy with its new paint job. haha. But they need to focus on new thrill flat rides that fit in with six flag's landscape not a whole bunch of family rides.

I know I have said this elsewhere on the board, but this is really a stupid move by SF...
To lament along with MRCeagle, why remove a fun, and rare family ride in favor of adding what is essentially a duplicate (a duplicate of an already tired clone). If they were to remove Flashback and renovate that area a bit Deja Vu could have a great home there. It's not a big deal to lose one coaster, FunTown did the same thing a few years ago with their Galaxy/Mouse switch. Not to mention that SFNE pushed the "10 Coasters!" campaign last year, might as well keep it at 10, nobody cares if you have 11 if you have 2 of the same ride.
That being said, I personally don't mind, I just think Six Flags could have better executed this. It is in fact a new coaster credit in New England, so I am happy :)

See I have to disagree with you on this one. SFNE had many thrilling flats and thrilling coasters. they then have a huge collection of kiddie rides. The park have very few Family Oriented rides. They have a few coasters that are considered family rides and a couple flats. and one dark ride (Technically) in Houdini. They need more attractions that the entire family can ride.
Now I understand that that might not mean much to you but in the future it will.
canobie#1 - September 17, 2011 11:57 PM (GMT)
I do actually agree a bit there. The park lacks many flats, Family and thrill. The removal count has been ridiculous.
thrills-nightwing {+for family ride}- time warp-cahos- double trouble- and more.
family rides- rodeo- spider-shipwreck falls- coloussus- poland springs plunge. AND NOW THE SCRAMBLER!!!!!!
the scramblers s going to great adventure and nothings replacing it  Thats why i now agree with you. Its ridiculous. They need to stop with the used coasters there wasting space for and get real fantastic rides such as flats family and thrill. And get some real big family and thrill coasters. They should move the emloyee parking lot to the other side of the road for a new area. It would give theme nice coaster space. But im still pumped for deja vu haha
mrceagle - September 18, 2011 05:25 AM (GMT)
The scrambler was not removed it was taken down for rehab and it back up and running. SFGAdv is getting the Scrambler removed from SFOG after it was removed to make room for Dare Devil Dive.
one reason I want to see more family rides is I prefer, though I don't have to, Ride Family rides after I eat a meal. I think they are even without smaller kids a great way to relax after eating or at time just to slow things down and take a breather mid day.
canobie#1 - September 18, 2011 07:22 AM (GMT)
Oh, i'm sorry i heard all these things about and i didn't go deeper into the story hahaha my fault.
I do agree still. That's one of the best features at canobie lake park. There is not only family rides but some of theme are so relaxing  Me and my friends would go on cannonball 8 times and then like sleep on skater. DaVinci's Dream catipilar and so many more. They really level out the types of rides levels that they have. Though it's my favorite park in the world i still think they need a couple of new thrills. ;) But i agree six flags needs to really change that order of rides
mrceagle - September 19, 2011 04:01 AM (GMT)
it's OK, your not the only one that thought the Scrambler was leaving SFNE.
Canobie dose need a few more thrill rides. I think it would really level out their line up.
SFNE simply wants ride they can can market for a year and hope it stands up after that. they really don't care about their customers simply the marketing year to year.
canobie#1 - September 20, 2011 02:39 AM (GMT)
I agree six flags is very heartless and aa lot of the pak isn't very well maintained as it should. Im not saying its a dump but i could be better. They really rip people off. Me and my 4 friends ordered two large orders of chicken fingers and one fry. Plus three drinks was a little over 50 DOLARS!!!!!!!!!! i didn't even have enough money for my drink and my friends
I only go with my my three best riends on july 10th {my birthday} and we get the AMAZING platnum passes. The only long lines were at the water park. I like it because its after the weekend and the fourth. Its always empty. That the best time too go
mrceagle - September 21, 2011 04:31 PM (GMT)
SFNE is out of line with it's pricing but as long as people keep going and spending money they won't stop. they could careless if you can't afford food if, instead you bought a flash pass.
canobie#1 - September 24, 2011 01:25 PM (GMT)
Yeah it's a terrible rip off. I wouldn't go more than once or twice a year.
canobie#1 - September 24, 2011 01:34 PM (GMT)
But atleast we still have a better and wetter chute the shoots at canobie :D
mrceagle - September 24, 2011 03:28 PM (GMT)
It gives canobie For the first time since it opened the only shoot-The-Chute on New England. In fact the closest Chute is at Rye playland and that's is actually a modified super Flume. as for true chute rides I think it's either Derian Lake or Kennywood.
canobie#1 - September 26, 2011 09:15 PM (GMT)
i HOPE that since SWF is gone the boston tea party will be more reconize. It is better anyway B)

The word is official! They are having primer ride co. Design brand new trains that are 4 seat rows for deja vu! They say it will really cure the capacity problem and some of the maintnaice problems! :Ahh:
mrceagle - October 3, 2011 02:33 AM (GMT)
That is yet to be seem. it will be interesting to see how a coaster designed to support 2 seater trains will react to the stress of 4 seaters.

Super Inverted Boomerangs were intended to have 4 seater cars.
canobie#1 - October 4, 2011 11:30 PM (GMT)
Tis will be very interseting to see. I hope they are nuce and compfy. :) But i still wish they removed flashback for it instead of taking one of there only water rides. <_< I'm sure they'll be counting down the days until they remove flashback to. They should put a wicked twister kinda ride in that spot that would be wicked fun! :D

Yes the coaster came with though O believe it's front back 4 seated cars same as the Smaller boomerangs. But they sit in along the tracks seat front to back. The new trains are supposedly 4 across, like with a B&M coaster. They will put different stresses on the track.
James - October 11, 2011 03:09 PM (GMT)
The 'old' trains are somewhat V shaped but its more of a (
The trains didn't slow the load time, it was the station layout. Getting to the other 'back row' car meant walking around the whole car to get in. And because the stations weren't set up for rows of 4 riders a car, it always made a cluster. (Stations were set up 2 by 2)
Poor station -

This ride is looking good! I really wish that they painted it to fit in with CAC. Instead of just re painting it back to the same color.
