Title: Water Country - Portsmouth, NH...Discounts

gardener14 - July 27, 2006 09:33 PM (GMT)
Does anyone know of any good discounts for Water Country in Portsmouth, NH? I have a dollar off coupon, but that's not too much of a savings. Is there something better out there?

Thanks.

Try looking at Dangilo's They had Coupons last year. but I think there only 2 bucks off. Bet deals are the AAA, and other organizations. Try checking with your local Library they might have something.

I called AAA and they have tickets for $26...a $6 savings. I knew about some of their park tickets (Canobie, SFNE, etc.), but I didn't know they had tickets for Water Country too. Thanks Mrceagle.

Some BKs I have been to had discounts.. But I think they were only $2-3 off.

mrceagle - July 28, 2006 03:31 PM (GMT)
ya that's what I remembered.

Gard - ya my last trip a few years age we got the tickets through AAA. at that time they were only 20 bucks though. I think the park has gotten a little on the pricey side since being bought by a corporation.

I have not been up there in a very long time, how is the park? Better then HH i would assume?

Ya i was wondering if they have the bestof anything up there. Any record holders or anything?

Also what is the size of there "green body" slide that is at SFNE, or do they not even have one? I'm dieing to go on one like at blizzard beach or wet and wild.

i was at wc last summer... took my niece (8). We had a blast, though i didnt get on the strait drop slide (forgetting the name). There are alot more slides than just a few years ago. They was some dragon thing i never got on cuz it had like a 2 hr wait all day. Id go back up with other "grown-up" friends and i think wed have fun

I rode the Dragons Den slide twice last year.. really fun but real long wait. I like WC better then HH because when I go to HH SROS is sitting right next door.. So I feel like im wasteing time... When I go to WW I go for WC... So I seem to have a better day.

"though i didnt get on the strait drop slide (forgetting the name)." - Geronimo?

mrceagle - July 28, 2006 10:00 PM (GMT)
Geronimo(straight drop slide) is around 70 ft or so around the same height as SF green one. but I find WC's better. WC has more slides and allot more attractions. all around the park is little water lounge area. I personally had as much fun in the Pirates cove pool as i did on many of the slides.

The best thing about WC is that the slides are deficient they each have there own feel. yes Geronimo has 2 slides and there are 2or 3 runs on the mate slade in the back but other then that the slides are defiant. unlike HH were allot of the slides left and right are the same layouts. WC 2 family raft slides are also far better then SFNE's

As for records not presently. allot of there slides like the thunder rapids by the wave pool were record breaking when they were added. but there slides are nothing to laugh at. they also have one for the largest wave pools in the US. As for NE goes. Most slides, largest water park, largest wave pool, 3rd largest water play structure(canobies being first). so they are a major park in a sence.

Go read my post again. Geronimo is a very good Slidea dn verry exiting. you even get a bit of flot time when you start the slide. Freaky as hell. I liked it better the the speed drop slide at Typhoon lagoon.

but Summet Plummit at Blizzard River is the tallet fastest water slide in the world. so no one has a slide better then it.

Well you said it was the same as our green one so i figured it sucked. i did not realize SP was still the hieghest in the world tho. Also its Blizzard BEACH.

Also have you been on the one at wet and wild down there? its nuts...the way they have you go.

mrceagle - July 30, 2006 10:16 PM (GMT)
No I've only been to Typhoon lagoon at Disney. i tried to get to Blizzard my last trip and they shut down do to capacity. i haven't been to anything outside the property. parents didn't want to travel.

But Geronimo is a very good vertical drop slide, Fast air time. When you start you don't feel the Slide for a few seconds Scared the Sh!t out of me the first time I went on.
