Hi everyone,
As I mentioned last week, there WILL NOT be a lecture today. The final lecture will be Thursday, August 5th at 7:30pm PST. It will cover raycasting, the technique used to create Wolfenstein 3-D (one of the first popular 3-D games). The final project will involve authoring a software raycaster using the graphics framework, including texturing using the bitmap loading/display routines you are developing now. The current homework is simply to load and display a bitmap (.BMP) file. Hopefully, you write the code in such a way that multiple images can be loaded and managed easily. Thank you very much for your continued interest and participation, and I hope that this course has been of help to you and your future. See you Thursday, Danny [itcc_teachers@pclx.com] |
