Description: I don't smoke :P

Ok, here's the deal...Since I'm training myself in modeling, i dont want to do complex things just yet, so i stick with simple stuff...gradually growing in difficulty.

I have a Vodka Martini "Blade" Cigarette holder in my room (which i use to put coins in)...and i felt like modeling it...so i did...Of course the colors and the general shape is different..but i used it as a reference. (Just remembered i forgot to turn the shadows on for rendering  )

Anyway, here is the result..and I am really proud that i managed to learn how to seperate material (in the cigarette) by saving selections and applying textures to a certain selection...

Very easy stuff for you guys...:blank:

Kehlan, I hope you don't mind me putting code03.net all over the place...but it's thanks to this forum that i got into modeling, so i thought it would be fair to attribute my models to it.

You're making good progress, it's looking great! I'm glad you got some of the textures down, now just experiment with the bump maps and reflections a bit more. ;)

That's cool with the code03 bit!!

Hey r4zR
That looks real nice. Real smooth lines. Maybe sharpen the ashtray a bit, but bloody nice looking mate. Real impressed. Spread the code03 word

Right I'll leave it now for some real experts to comment

Thanks guys :)

Maybe it is a little too smooth, especially the cigarette, which isn't perfectly glassy in real life... But i'll try mess around with texturing

Yeah keep messing with the textures a bit more. You'll get the hang of it soon enough. ;)

I'll try...but is it just me or does everyone keep on wanting to model more and more and finish less and less

I really feel like modeling something new but i want to finish this little project!

Probably. I think you'll find we all have loads of little projects on the back burner. Then we bust them out and hey presto! here they are ;)

Most things allready said. But they look like they don't really fit together somehow... Otherwise, it's good.
