Good morning everyone!
The promised cooler weather did arrive - well sort of! It came in a damp way and not quite as cool as I hoped. But it was in the 60s last night as opposed to the high 70s and 80s. Tomorrow is forecast to have showers (not thunderstorms) with a high of only 71 - so that will be some much due relief. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday! |

good morning everyone
my gear is nearly packed - ES isn't far behind we have to do troop inventory tonight and shop and get that packed up (snackies, etc.) it has cooled since the big storm blew thru yesterday - even the muggy has gone a big but we're to climb up into 80's later today - after 95 - that will be quite cool  the north shore was hit pretty bad from the winds - the town we used to live in has a wonderful park on the Sound and lots of trees down, the gazebo flattened  - still some folks around the county with no power!hope everyone has a beautiful day as we approach yet another summer weekend back to work BBL (a mailing to put together and get out the door) |

Hi ya Jeanne - you're exactly right - not quite the break we had all hoped for but I'll take it!
We'll be passing not too far from ya on Sunday as we head up to camp for the week..... I think we'll be on the thruway the whole time so..... but I'll turn and wave when we're in the "neighborhood" LOL |

I left my computer downstairs last night and instead brought my coffee and newspaper down to it this morning...so I can sit with "our" finches...they have come to waterdish already....quite a few --took baths..I think some of the new fledges were in the group...so darn cute.
 A little while ago, a young male came for his solo bath. I have been taking their  's ...will post soon. I know you have seen this action before but as I said...they are so darn cute...I want to share them with you all. |

Hope your day will be great. Lala loved the pictures this morning and the ones you posted yesterday too. They are all fabulous! Karen can't wait for your finch pictures. I just love watching birds enjoying a bath! Finally figured out how to make pictures a bit bigger on photobucket. Here are a few of the beautiful flowers we saw in Hawaii recently.    |

Lala what spectacular shots - love that glowing rainbow. You know I was trying to find a sparkly rainbow picture to post this morning, but couldn't find one - you must have "heard" me!
 Karen - sounds so nice being able to share in the joy of something so beautifully simple as birds enjoying a nice drink and bath. I find those simple, quiet moments to be some of the nicest! Hi Sandie!! Are you stopping by the Liberty house maybe??Deb, very funny - I will wave back lol . We should make some caching plans soon. I have two friends who are very adept at finding caches!
