This gave me a laugh this morning. ( Turn-about is fair play) Go Mooses!
"This actually happened with some guys from Maine. They dressed the truck up with the guy spread eagled on the roof. The driver and passengers put on Moose heads. They went down the Maine toll road Interstate, causing 16 accidents. Yes; they went to jail... Yes; alcohol was involved..." |

Looks like our June Gloom has flown the coop for those of us So.Cal Coasties... Mr.
is beginning to break thru the marine layer already and it is only 7:45am... temps to be only about high of 70. It was the same for this past weekend...Perfection! Just had 3 house finchies at the watering hole, one taking a dip, cannot tell if they are maturing fledges or not, they grow so fast and they all have the look of the adult females, takes a little while for the more colorful red feathers of a young male to appear. Took some quick snap shots but....off to a ...Quick check on the nests, then off to breakfast and many chores...gotta make hay while the sun shines, so the saying goes. Will post photo or two later, if they came out, bathing birdies are always smile makers. |

Beautiful wingers and activity at WE---and I just had a fun time, again, more bath time with the house finch fledges here at the water dish....One eye on the WE nest and the other on the finch kids.
.....I am having a hard time heading upstairs to get breakfast and then Monday chores rolling... What a fun dilemma. |

Well, I'm back already. Of course there's always more work to do, but a big project this summer for me, is cleaning the baseboards in the kitchen. A couple of times a week, I lay down on a blanket with a scrubber and old towel and do one section of the kitchen. Today I did a third of the island and in front of the frig, YUCK, DUST BUNNIES.....
Karen, the sun is out already. |

Marsha - I can't imagine laying down to do the baseboards. I just ignore them.
I'd much rather be sewing. Carole - Breakfast looks good. I do have fresh strawberries. Am going to miss Eagleland when they all fledge. Marti - Karen - Beautiful day here again. Sparkling clear. Off for my walk. |

I should have posted the highlight of my trip to nyc. On saturday, i stopped into Katz's deli for one of if not THE best hot pastrami sandwhich. KAtz's is a NYC icon made famous by their slogan painted on the side of their emporium on Houston street which has been used since WW2. Would you believe it is "Senda Salami to your boy in the army"? They still ship oodles of them to APO and FPO addresses and have a speical shipping arangement to do so.
However, oy gevalt i could just plotz! Thier HUGE pastrami sandwhich cost me 1$18. However, thiers wasnt the dreck that you normally see at the supermarket so it was a good experience |

Peeps We had such a relaxing day at the beaches yesterday Today is with a slight breeze and a high of 27C/81F predicted. The tree guys are supposed to be here but haven't arrived yet. I'm pretty sure there is a chipping sparrow nest quite low down in the backyard cedar so I hope there will be no disruption when they trim the top of that tree |
