Penny, I don’t know how those Hotshots do it either. They work 16 hour shifts 7 days a week often. My hat is off to all who fight fires! I keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

I heard about the flooding and loss of animals at the zoo. So sad.

Praline, I am so sorry to hear you are still not feeling better. I hope the antibiotics help.

Barb, I just went to the drug store down the street and even up here we have smoke from the Bosque fire, which has to be 30 miles from here! Sorry to hear you have so much smoke. Stay inside, if you can.

Oh Laurie that is such a shame. Your poor sister. Sometimes you just want to say MEN!!!! Gosh Will put her up in my thoughts and prayers. Divorce is a sad thing but a Dad that doesn't keep up with his kids afterwards is devistating.

Karen...kinda waiting til the results of the MRI to do much of anything. My heating pad stays on a lot!! But it's usually on my back. Hmmmm......maybe I'll try something I have. Trouble is it's not constant problem. Just taking it easy and staying off it seems to help some.

Gosh it's 1:30.....where did the day go. Got to stop looking at these picture albums!!

I don't know how popular gourmet food trucks are in other areas but here in San Diego and Los Angeles these food trucks are wildly popular. These aren't like the "roach coaches" seen near construction sites but completely tricked out trucks with awesome menus. Some of the names for the trucks are Devilicious, Asian Persuasion, Chop Sooey, God Save the Cuisine and Thai One On only to name a few of the over 50 that we have here in S.D. Most can be found at business parks for lunch or in a grouping of about 5-10 for dinner at specific locations around town. I was coming home from shopping about 12N today and found Crepes Bonaparte in the business park near my home...I had a veggie crepe and it was outstanding. I've also had lunch (lobster grilled cheese sandwich, awesome!!) from Devilicious. DH had the most monsterious wrap from Asian Persuasion one evening and could only eat half...second half was for the next day's lunch. They are a fun alternative to our regular meal at home and everything is always fresh.

Chiquita, unfortunately the gourmet food truck thing hasn't caught on here (yet). We have one. Portland Oregon has a ton of food trucks, like San Diego does. Sounds delicious!!!

Leaving in a few minutes to pick up prescriptions at pharmacy and then home to log in to my class. Class from 4:30-6pm, then finish paper and presentation, write a quick script, record voiceover and upload it all by 8:55pm! I can do it!!!!

Praline good luck with that presentation. Just knowing how to do the voiceover and prepare the text etc is amazing to me!!! Knowing you and how you roll it will be hands down prefection. Get that medicine in you ASAP.

Going out to the Pierpont Inn for dinner tonight on the lawn with what I hear is a superb band. Not going to try to boogie down tho . Tonight gonna try the tri tips.....maybe I can "gum" it to death!!!

Good Afternoon Everyone! Hope you're ready for the weekend. One more day, and its here! So sad about the fires in N.M. and Colorado. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the fire area. I'm debating coming up to the Solstice Parade again in S.B., but working on State Street 5 days a week, do I really want to drive up here on one of my days off? I dunno! It's so fun and crazy, I love it!

I was so busy today I can't believe it's 4:30, how time flies.

well I went to refill my prescription a month ago only to be told that it was on back order for the end of June
so today I called to see what the story is and now it's backordered for Aug 30 - really????
can't get it filled by mail or locally ----- grrrrrr
so off to the dr. next week to get a different med until I can get mine ...... hmmmmm weird huh!
