hot time summer in the city back of my neck getting dirty and gritty....

94 here in the western philly burbs and they say we could hit 102 today. Hope this doesnt forshadow the rest of the summer as summer is not even 2 days old yet

We got a lot of the smoke up here in Rio Rancho all night. Even with shutting the window and turning off the cooler.

So are we..and yes, it's a dry heat but....

As we all know, the difference is the humidity and dew point. But it has it's issues too. We've been around 110 or higher the last few days with humidity of 5% or less.
But that causes sinus issues as you dry out...nose bleeds and headaches are very common this time of year. I dose my nose with saline before bed to try and help.

Speaking of the fires, the west looks like it's burning


AZ has it's share right now too, although only 1 large one so far.
We're in Mesa so have space around us. It made for a lovely sunset last night with just a hint of smoke smell.


DD's boyfriend who is the HotShot just got back from Ruidoso/Little Bear fire in NM. and stopped by this morning.
He said this fire was a little worrisome at times, and just when they thought they were going to loose it - it rained!!
They are letting people back home now.

Estonian Osprey chicks were left alone for a few min and immediately took advantage of no parental supervision.
..you know this can't lead to good things for it's sibling! Luckily mom returned quickly and reminded them who's boss

I too am really enjoying the beautiful Estonian osprey cam. I watch it at night.

What I read today about Prince William is he inherited 14 million from his Mum on his birthday but the Queen receives 27 million every year from her "duties"! But the properties they own i'm sure exceeds that. And William get 70,000 from his Air Force employment. I doubt he'll be out buying anything extravagant tho. Also they keep harping about Kate becoming pregnant.....sigh. Can't they just live without the peepers constantly picking at them?

Penny sad about the zoo. Kudo's to the "civilian" protecting the seal(?) until help arrived. Wonder where the poor baby bear is?

Praline good deal you are getting the antibiotics. That should turn things around hopefully. Glad you were able to get your presentation done. I'm not sure I could have done that being as sick as you are. Hope all goes well today and you get better.

I just hate to hear about the fires and most especially hate that the firefighters have to battle such incidious fires everywhere. Glad all cruzers reported in that they are safe and out of smoke and fire's way. Stay that way!!!

Laurie congrats on all the graduates. Ray Ray will be gone soon huh? Have a great vacation and enjoy camp. Keep Coleman safe while out there.....he likes to chase things bigger than him if I remember correctly!!!

I am going nowhere fast today....this ankle is still not happy. that it is just the weather....fog again. I'd like to send some of it to the rest of you suffering with alll this heat!

PRALINE--In about 24 hrs...after you begin the anti-biotics, I hope you begin to feel better. The Neti is not a cure, but does ease the symptoms for awhile each time and it is keeping nasal/sinus congestion moving, each time you do the procedure...which is a good thing.

SANDIE--If you think it is the dampness from the fog, adding to the ankle discomfort...have you be using heat pad? Might help, just a thought.

Well - I got the hairsss cuts - I like it. I took a before and after picture. Will share later - I don't have time to download off my camera etc. I'm waiting for DH to get home and shower - We have to go back through road construction, pick my mom up and off to Tupper to nephew Mikey's graduation ceremony.

Oh and by the way - My sister has her first court appearance tomorrow to gain custody and support for Mikey - please keep her in your thoughts. She's having a very rough go of things as her - hopefully soon future EX-husband isn't honoring his "promise" to help her financially. She's in debt up to her ears - and is struggling to keep her home.

Laurie - Prayers and Cruzer Mojo for your dear sister. Hope everything works out well with Mikey and may your ex-BIL stop being a "Deadbeat Dad" and live up to his parental/spousal responsibilities.
