As you know All Eagles All The Time 2011/2012 is an Archival/History in Videos and Still captures showing the various stages throughout the year in the lives of the Eagles on the Sauces Canyon Nest on Santa Cruz Island.
We have followed them through the Nestorations and then onto the Eggs/Incubation stage. Next was the exciting stage of the Hatchings of their two chicks and following their Early Development in Here a Chick! There a Chick! .... Now we have reached Banding Day .... where the eaglets will get their ‘wing blings’ .... and start on the journey to become fledglings. In this topic we will also cover Branching ... and the final stage of Fledging. This will be both a joyous and sad time for us all .... we will be sorry to see them leave the nest .... but we will wish them Safe Journeys when that time finally happens. As you know all these Videos and Stills have been selected .. as their favourites .. by the members who have captured them on Nest Watch. You can see more videos and still pictures by visiting the Daily Observations thread. Also known as Nest Watch. Again we ask that you not post comments in this thread Viewing Only Please. This will enable faster viewing by Dr. Peter Sharpe and the IWS Team ... for record purposes ... and also for Members and visitors to the forum. Capturers are asked to wait until Cumbrian or EDblue (Eagle Duo) posts the first thread of each day before oosting or reserving a space for your videos and/or captures of the day to keep continuity to the archives. |

June 8, 2012 ............................................  .................................................... One eaglet flies off as Jim arrives!  "You stay put" Jim tells the other eaglet!  Getting ready to be placed in the bag.  A-82 .. first to be returned .. watches as A-81 arrives back on the nest.    And Don't Come Back!  5:31pm. A-40 delivers a fish.  6:50pm. Zonked out with all the excitement!  7:39pm. After another delivery .. looking wonderful! |

June 8, 2012 2:35pm - After its sibling took off, this one was left to face Jim alone  2:38 and 2:41pm - Resistance is futile - into the bag for you!   Siblings are excited by their reunion on the nest - 4:47pm   Eaglets always abhor the photo ops - 4:48pm  4:51-4:54pm - Jim leaves the nest and the eagles slam the door after him     |

June 8, 2012   Jim Spickler removes the second eaglet as the first one flew off ......................Come on little one, you are going to get blinged....... In the bag you go feisty one.............    A-82 is returned and is not a happy camper, didn't like the tent bag..........................................................You better leave now!...........   OH NO! You're back  ........................................................................................................Jim returns A-81..........  We both think it's time for you to leave and now...................................................Okay kids, a little pat on the back and I'm out of here............. Phew, we are glad that this banding thing is over   |

June 10, 2012  A-82 shows off her leg band ... left leg .. assumed to be female.   12:14pm. Adult arriving with prey..................................... A-82 claims this delivery.   A-27 delivers ... A-81 the winner. ................................................. A-82 now working at it.   A-40 delivers...................................................................... A-27 makes a quick visit.   8:48pm. A-40 delivers a huge fish which A-27 claims when she arrives. Eaglets watch. ..........................................  ................................................................ Late supper. |
