SC - 12:25
There's been the sound of a small plane overhead for about the last 5 minutes, and one of the chicks is standing at the right rear while the other is down, both look to be watching.tracking. Now it's quiet, but standing eaglet is still looking up.

Nope, it's back...eaglets looking off to the right...

And, quiet again, eaglets haven't changed position, but one looking straight at cam.

QUOTE
10:08 - SC ... One eaglet is branched on the left side crib rails.

Pat, I was sure I had seen this yesterday, as well. Isn't this a milestone in development--showing ability to balance, I guess? Almost as exciting as when the WE kids get up on Mom's rock! tongue.gif

Hearing a parent call in distance? Resting twin gets up and begins a little squealing, but the first one hasn't reacted much, still standing at rear of nest. Announce.gif Ready for our noontime meal, Mom & Dad!

Eaglets standing at left- and back-center of nest, occasional whine from the one on the left.

Same eaglet continues its crying...very noticeable today the time-lag between the beak moving and the audio...video is much clearer, thank goodness!

And, plane is back...or, another one flying by, anyway.

SC nest, loud calling in background by parent (I presume), eaglets home alone.

One twin stands tall and stretches a beautiful wing...an occasional plaintive squeal and then some wing flaps, some preening, while sib remains "seated" and quiet near the back.

No sign yet of a parent -- guess that morning fish delivery will have to hold them for a while yet.

BBL.

PH - Possible food delivery?

Just came in the room and saw the chick at the back of the nest appearing to be self-feeding and a parent at the end of the branch.

Chick is laying down now......and up again before I can post this. laugh.gif

PH - Another possible food delivery? Sorry I can't be more definite.

Left the room again after the parent left the branch.

Came back to find a parent back on the branch and the chick working on something in the middle of the nest.
Not sure if it's food or fluff though. blink.gif

The parent has left the branch again.

I wonder if I leave the room again if it'll come back again? laugh.gif

PH - Just got a good look at the chick's crop.

There must have been at least 1 food delivery!

It's crop is huge!

SC - 2:41

Back for a little while to see the twins resting side-by-side at the 3, and the front one is (still) crying.

What a difference an hour or two makes -- the clouds have rolled in and the lens is pretty wet with condensation again. It was nice to have that (clearer) view earlier.

Would love to see big crops on these chicks!

And now the twin at back shows off his whine. Pretty noisy, that one--saves it up for awhile...

2:47 Oh yay! Parent just flew in, landed on perch...does not appear to be any prey, however sad.gif

IDK, sure didn't look like any prey delivery, but the twin at the back seems to have something, and squealing at the same time...
