How can we help - how can we spread the word?
![]() Scott and Dave on the Computer ![]() Cruzer friends ![]() PH nest hike on Santa Cruz ![]() Listening to the IWS biologists .................................. .................................. ![]() Banding day - Click on above image to go to IWS Eagle Forum ! There was a small, fuzzy eaglet, perched in a large nest at the top of a tree that the world came to love! When she fledged, she took our and best wishes for success, with her! We had a void - we could not see her everyday - we had occasional updates - we waited and wondered. We also began to fine tune our nest observations and post important information in a way that the biologists could easily cull out - such as when the chicks ate, what they ate, how the parents cared for them, parent exchanges and incubation times. But the job is not finished - the eagles still struggle - the biologists work even harder! The all important cameras that make our helping the biologists possible - there are fuel, electricity, ink, paper, water, insurance, maintenance, computer, telephone, fax, staff payroll, taxes and so much more - all necessary to support the bald eagle recovery program! And that's where we come in - through the collective adoption of one nest at a time, the Cruzers have dedicated themselves to being part of that support system! Can you help in any way? Seeing the bald eagles move forward in their struggle to come home is a reward for a Cruzer but IWS has gone even further - for every nest adopted/every collective $1,000 contributed - they will distribute a series of items in a drawing to participants! Click on the "Chick Saying Thanks Photo" above to learn how you can help the eagles... check out the 2nd topic listed on the main IWS Eagle Forum page (and stop by Chat and say HI! |

ES/Gary - Congrats on receiving the AIA Presidential Citation for your involvement in such
an important undertaking. The wording is so beautiful and I am so proud of all that you accomplished being part of the team. |
