Patti ... that was the first request the other day ... rap the older eaglet's beak!

SC .. A-27 now on the perch.

Younger eaglet is checking around the nestovers.

SC .. A-27 watches from the perch then comes back down onto the nest and to the front where the younger one is.

Has made no attempt to offer the eaglet anything .... and here comes the hulk!

Young'un continues to try to self feed ... A-27 watches ... not exactly the brightest of the species!

Now she looks around and then <poofs>

New today!

WE--Watching nest but stream is frozen--still, all crops are bulging, including the little one as far as I can tell. Parent is in the nest, feeding.

I'm a Decorah regular who found this cam on the UStream channel on Roku. I'm amazed that we have bald eagles on Catalina!

How has the little one been doing? It looks healthy and strong, as do the older siblings.

Thanks!

The one thing about the younger eaglets ... they should have better survival skills than the older eaglets that have just opened their beaks to be fed.

wavey.gif and Welcome Fonsia ... glad that you discovered the Channel Islands' Eagles.

#3 .. had a wonderful day yesterday ... not such a super start today ... but by the size of the crop in this frozen picture on screen ... looks like it improved immensely!

wavey.gif Thanks Cumbrian!

As a human I can't help but worry about the little ones. However, really, this one looks very good.

The Decorah Dad is famous for giving private feedings to his E3s. Maybe why they haven't lost an eaglet yet. Don't know if that happens in this nest.

Little E3 appears to have learned his correct submission poses, and really it looks strong.

Hope they get the camera unfrozen, but I do like that shot with the fat crops!

WE ... both adults do feed all the eaglets on this nest ... but I tend to see more one to one feedings with Wray and #3.

As far as we are aware this nest hasn't lost an eaglet either.

Yes ... I believe that the nest you mentioned is very good ... and don't want to upset you on your first day here ... but we normally just post about the Channel Island's Nests on this thread.

Our daily Chat thread normally follows a lot of the nests in other areas .. with updates etc .. so I am sure they would welcome you there too re any comparisons or discussion.

Hope that we can get this cam back up again ... would like to see them all before nightfall if possible.

SC ... so #1 has muscled in on Dad and is being fed again.

The younger one is on the opposite side ... A-40 has just turned around ... back to cam .. sure hope the younger one is getting something.

SC ... looks like Dad is feeding #2 ... just watching his body movements ... A-40 is blocking the view of the eaglet.

PH .. K-26 is feeding Precious.
