As you know All Eagles All The Time 2011/2012 is an Archival/History in Videos and Still captures showing the various stages throughout the year in the lives of the Eagles on the West End Nest on Catalina Island.
We have followed them through the Nestorations and then onto the Eggs/Incubation stage. So now we have finally reached the most exciting stage the Hatching of the Chicks and their Early Development...... so this is where we will put the Chicks and their Development stages ... because that leads us into eaglets and fledglings. Three eggs were laid at this nest .. and the first egg hatched on March 29th. As you know all these Videos/Stills and Screen Captures .. have been selected .. as their favourites ... by the members who have captured them on Nest Watch. You can see more videos and still pictures by visiting the Daily Observations thread. Also known as Nest Watch. Again we ask you not to post comments in this thread Viewing Only Please. This will enable faster viewing by Dr. Peter Sharpe and the IWS Team ... for record purposes ... and also for Members and visitors to the forum. Capturers are asked to wait until Cumbrian or EDblue (Eagle Duo) posts the first thread of each day before posting or reserving a space for your captures of the day to keep continuity to the archives. |

March 29, 2012  11:28am. First sight of a new chick.  Wray removing a piece of the shell from the bowl.   K-01 delivers a fish .. eats some.............. Wray moves and we see 1 chick & 2 eggs.  .......................... Oops!   ..............K-01 brings in a slim silver fish and starts to feed some to Wray. .................................  .................................................. Number 1 for now!   ...........................................Dad feeds his new chick. |
