This film truly deserves its Oscar for best foreign language film. We were engrossed right to the very end despite the English subtitles. A very moving depiction of what can happen as a marriage slowly dissolves and a surprising glimpse into middle class life in Iran. This film is the antithesis of the usual Hollywood production and so beautifully acted by everyone in it including an elderly man and a very young girl who steals all the scenes she is in. Like real life, it does not end with everything tied up in a neat little bow. Go see it, you won't be disappointed Asghar Farhadi with his Oscar for best foreign language film for A Separation.
