Good morning dear friends

Yes I'm so far behind I'll never catch up so..... I'll do what I can though ....

It's been very, very busy with the "new" job - learning new ways, new programs, sorting-packing-storing files (and a lot more of that to go), doing my regular work and of course the longer drive to and from.

BUT my new bosses are wonderful and great fun! It's a family business where dad ran the show but took ill some years back - he can't really work any longer but doesn't want to turn over the reins but really has no choice. My bosses know how the business needs to be run but they don't know how to implement it - cue for Deb to come in .......so they are teaching me and I'm teaching them and so far it's been great!

Lots of adjustments to make!

AND we have 5 new scouts in our troop so more adjustments there - plus we've been working hard the past several weeks to "farm" out some of the duties that I have done over the years - giving me more freedom to work on particular things that I'd like to do - I'm going to be more focused on program and skills. I'm "teaching" one of my parents how to handle the camping/trips and another is taking over registration and training and we have one for fundraising and I'm sure I can pass on a couple more of my "jobs"

So lots and lots of changes since January - all of which have kept me tremendously busy!

My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the devastating storms over the last couple of day.

I have seen the FB posts - updates - etc and am thrilled beyond words on the nests and eggs ...... I can't watch all so I've settled on TH

I'm once again finding it hard to get around with all my toes, fingers, legs, arms and eyes crossed - for a successful nesting season for our beloved eagles (channel island and all others as well)

So then in the mix of all of this, ES reminds me that our 20th anniversary is fast approaching and we need to seriously make a plan - se we'll be flying to Salt Lake City in September - visiting my niece and her family and DB - then off to Idaho for some nature viewing with them - on to Yellowstone - back to Jackson Hole - over to Cheyenne to visit my nephew and his family - winding up in Denver for a look around and home! WOO HOO - how will I ever be patient and wait for September .... all new places for us and some real nature experiences awaiting us! Thank you ES for taking the point on this endeavor - you're the best.

And yes it's March already and we've not decided about CA this year .... so much going on for me indeed indeed ... but we're working on it!

and of course ES has been busy with Tower 1 - lots of visits to the site the past couple of weeks (one at 7AM Thursday boy was that an early train that he had to take into the city to be there on time - yawn)



of course we've had the warmest weather ever no snow for us - we've barely seen a flake - but a week or so ago it provided ES an interesting photo of the Tower while he was out walking at lunch




Anyway - I hope everyone is safe after the crazy midwest weather of the past couple of days my thoughts and prayers to all of those who suffered from the outbursts...

Also hope this finds everyone doing well - no real colds or flu making the rounds - there have been some sinus stuff going round here but we've been lucky so far and hope it stays that way - don't need that stuff

speaking of weather - real grey this morning - cloud cloud cloud ......

so hopefully this week I can add some of my normal stuff back into the picture - one day and certainly one step at a time

but I'm very thankful for my job situation when not that long ago we didn't know what was going to be happening .... all of you saw me thru and I'm finally coming out of that dark tunnel .... and I've been very lucky with a great outcome! whew!

so that's what's been with me what's with all of you

Hi Cat - yes it's been really hectic - but I've been sleeping pretty good at night inasmuch as I'm really tired at the end of most days - BUT I truly enjoy heading off to work each day now .... and no pressure at all......

oh and in all of this - a couple of weeks ago my phone crashed - the stupid one that the company isn't making anymore and the one that verizon is barely supporting so I had to suck it up and buy a whole different phone (which verizon should have worked with me knowing the situation of the other) - and because it was 2 different operating systems, it caused some issues in transferring stuff ....... but it got done - now I need to go thru and merge all my contact info LOL - but I can kindle on my new phone which has been great! and play words now and then ...... just the hassle of it at a time when I had enough else going on - gotta love technology!

We've not made it upsate at all this year - with the warm weather we figured there would really be no eagles to observe phooey ..... really missed that for sure

Oh and poor ES - he worked hard last year planting a bunch of tulips - this was going to be his spring - well they're half way up already the end of February darn - so what will we have to enjoy come spring - oh wait - we've been having a "winter spring" ..... LOL

wow it'll soon be time to get busy with Nest Adoption ...... I'll get right on that and get the details together and a team coordinated and let's get going!

Holy cow I am worn out reading about everything. SOOOO glad new job is working out and to hear that your handing off some of your scouting "hats" to the parents.

And your travel plans sounds like so MUCH fun!! Wow, have you been to Yellowstone before? I don't remember. That is on my "list"
