Hi everybody,

It’s Wednesday again… Let’s see, what have we done this week?
Oh yeah, we have been working on our West End, Rattlesnake and Two harbors cameras. And also have been trying to keep tabs on K15 and K18, but so far we have only gotten signals from K15.

On Monday, Pete and I headed to the Rattlesnake nest to figure out what was wrong with the camera. After a quick inspection, he decided to remove it and come back a later day with a functioning one.

Aside from the camera work done at rattlesnake, this week, while at RS nest, Pete and I started collected prey remains for the “Quantifying the Diet of Breeding Bald Eagles on the Channel Islands” study, conducted by the University of Wyoming, the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum and the Institute for Wildlife Studies.

The researchers arrived last night and today we headed out to the Two Harbors nest. Pete and I worked on the camera while they collected samples.

Pimu has been doing great these past couple of weeks. She perches and eats on the upper perches and vocalizes upon our arrival.

Thanks to all of those who have adopted or renewed their Educational Eagle Adoptions. The Eagle Sponsor Board continues to grow and it sure makes a difference to us and the “girls” appreciated it too.

Thank you so much for your beautiful photos Steffani. It is interesting to see how many people are involved in researching what the eagles eat. Love that Pimu is doing so much better! You guys are the best for taking such good care of her. As always, thanks for all the good work you do, and see you next week!

Thank you for the update Steffani!

So happy that Pimu is feeling better! thumbUp.gif

Love to see Bette's plaque on the wall. Looking at that beautiful morning picture I like to think she is soaring with the eagles.

Thanks for all the work you and EagleGuy.gif do.

Thanks Peter & Steffani for all your hard work! I can't believe it's almost time for nestorations. Where does the time go. I'm so excited to see all the new camera's, it's gonna be Eaglepalooza nest cams. How exciting! Have a beautiful week.
