K82 is now at 10 position. Appeared to have rolled the eggs--had hard time finding just the right spot, but is settled now.

That was an amusing video, Pat.
In the 1st 1/2 of the video, the two mates kept stealing the sticks from each other -- back & forth & back again. They each like to nestorate! |

bette that wasn't just a wing stretch - Mr. Mouse was at the very far edge of the nest and 82 knew he was there. That wing stretch was really 82 trying to SWAT Mr Mouse just like we might freeze for a moment then try to swat a fly!! OMG too funny - let me get the video!!!

Jeanne - I didn't see the mouse
 - I was working on a spreadsheet on the left of my screen while the nest was on the right. The first thing that caught my attention was the wing, so I missed the cause.  I guess that is why the "calling out," which also seemed out of character at the time. Looking forward to your video to put it all in perspective. I've really missed you.  |

It is hard to catch Despereaux the
 .Over the last 3 nights I have been here almost all night long ready to trigger the video capture, but no such luck. But when I go away for any length of time, he appears. Maybe there is a monitor there and the eagles/mices can see us as well? |

This was funny, Mr. Mouse has lotsa character and chutzpa!!!
Eagle'n'Mouse 2: The Mouse Swat!Mr. Mouse arrives at the edge of the nest (bottom left corner). K82 is aware of his presence, and he seems to know she knows he's there. They sit motionless for a couple minutes checking each other out. Finally Mr. Mouse, staying at his a presumably safe distance, grooms for a couple minutes, all the while 82 stares in his direction.  Suddenly 82 reaches out with her wings and SWATS in Mr. Mouse's direction!  But Mr. Mouse had already jumped away to his escape before 82 even flinched! Still, she stands alert for a moment and lets him know to stay away from her eggs!!!  Hey bette - I missed being here!!!  |
