TH - since they have never actually hatched their eggs, this could be a confusing phase - I imagine that natural instinct will "kick" in hatch1.gif wub.gif

LORRAINE I saw the same thing too with K81's talon --which looks like a crack of some kind, you describe it perfectly. Also, at times there is debris -piece of straw or grasslike, that sits between the camera view and the egg, which also looks like a crack at times

He now backs up off eggs with beak in nest bowl

7:58 - is there movement in the nest bowl?

TH .... Just got here ... have been watching K-81 circling and turning around that bowl for the last 5 minutes ...

That certainly looks like part of a shell he is moving around ... I think we have a chick in the bowl

I can't see it yet!
