All Eagles All The Time 2008/2009 is an Archival/History in Videos and Still captures showing the various stages throughout the year in the lives of the Eagles on the West End Nest on Catalina Island

This is the WE nest .....Cam/Tower on left .. Nest in middle .. and surrounding area.

............... Click on thumbnails to enlarge

Season 2007/2008 was a very successful .. and surprising .. one for this nest.
Two eggs were laid ... unfortunately one was lost ... but the other successfully hatched at the IWS facilities and when the chick was fostered back into the nest she met her sibling, who had hatched from another egg, that had been laid after the egg switch.
Both K-65 aka Miracle and K-67 aka Surprise successfully fledged on July 11th 2008.

Please check out the Class of 2008 to enjoy last season’s memories of ‘Nestorations to Fledging’.

One other surprise was that Dianna did not participate last season. She was last seen at the nest in March 2008. We are still hoping that she will be sighted on Catalina ... maybe with another male.

The camera has been moved ... by the eaglets ... so Dr Sharpe will have to return to the nest area ... once he knows he will not disturb the eagles ... and fix it.

Camera fixed October 6/08 ... new view ... capture courtesy of jeannec user posted image

Meanwhile the adult eagles .. Wray and K-01 .. may currently be enjoying some R & R. Hopefully ... perhaps in December like last year ... we will see them once again ... bringing sticks and lots of fluff to start the restoration of their nest ... aka Nestorations by the A-49 Cruzers ... getting ready for the eggs that could be laid in February/March.

The Videos and Stills .. that will eventually be posted here on this thread .. have been selected ... as their favourites ... by the members who have captured them on Nest Watch.
You can see more videos and still pictures ... at a later date ... by visiting the Daily Observations thread. Also known as Nest Watch

We ask you NOT to post comments in this thread. VIEWING ONLY PLEASE! This will enable faster viewing by Dr. Peter Sharpe and the IWS Team ... for record purposes .... and also for Members and visitors to the forum.
