September 6, 2008 just after arrival of 2nd parent     and then the exit by one but he returned shortly thereafter!    |

September 6, 2008 The end of an early evening visit by the TH parents--one remains alone for a while, then shows its tail on fly-out. Caps taken 06:02-6:09pm.    K-81 returned briefly around 7:05pm, bringing a stick.  |

September 7, 2008 Four--count -em--four morning visits by parents. First came a pre 6:30am joint visit; the others came in rapid succession from K-82 (a guess) flying out and in repeatedly. Visit #1 06:31a.m.  06:36a.m.  06:44 and 06:50a.m.   06:51am.  06:53a.m. Taken just after touchdown on the second visit.  07:15a.m.  Third visit 07:14a.m.  Fourth visit 07:51a.m. and 07:53a.m.   |

September 7, 2008 parent visit 6:54 am  visit by second eagle, likely K82, and a fly-out 7:02 to 7:15 am; lots of neck stretching, then turns around to fly out     adult back at TH, flew in from the left front 7:48 am   |

September 7, 2008 K81 landing on the nest, and then doing an odd head twist and bow before tucking his wings in. I've seen one of the parents on TH do this before but did not really pay attention to who it was until this fly-in. I don't think he does it all the time, and I don't think I've ever noticed it before. But if it is behavioral and unique - it might be helpful for identification. From today: K-81's Unique Landing, 7 Sep 08 A better view from 1 Sep 08, when he lands and turns facing the camera Another example from 6 Sep when a parent joins the other on the nest (couldn't tell who was who because of the diamond lights)           |

THIS SUCCESFUL NESTING SEASON IS OVER!
September 8, 2008 Star Has Successfully Fledged ... she has returned to her home quite frequently since then. However she has not been seen at the nest for a few days now .... So This Nest Is Now Officially Closed For This Season! |
