Isolation over thousands of years has created unique animals, plants, and archeological resources found nowhere else on Earth and helped preserve a place where visitors can experience coastal southern California as it once was. Montrose Settlements Restoration Program DDTs and PCBs dumped in the ocean decades ago at White Point, near Los Angeles continue to contaminate natural resources in the Southern California Bight. The Montrose Settlements Restoration Program is taking action to restore those resources.
