As You know All Eagles All The Time 2007 is an Archival/History in Videos and Still captures showing the various stages throughout the year in the lives of the Eagles on the Santa Cruz Nest.
We have followed them through the Nestorations and then onto the Eggs/Incubation stage. Next was the exciting stage of the Hatching of their Chick and following it's Early Development in Here a Chick! There a Chick! .... Now we have reached Banding Day .... where the eaglet will get his/her ‘wing blings’ and GPS unit .... and start on the journey to become a fledgling. In this topic we will also cover Branching ... and the final stage of Fledging. This will be both a joyous and sad time for us all .... we will be sorry to see him/her leave the nest .... but we will wish A63 God Speed and Save Journeys when that time finally happens. As you may know all these Videos and Stills have been selected by the capturers for this thread. You can see more videos and still pictures by visiting the Daily Observations thread. Now renamed Nest Watch. Again we ask that you not post comments in this thread Viewing Only Please. This will enable faster viewing by Dr. Peter Sharpe and the IWS Team ... for record purposes ... and also for Members and visitors to the forum. We do however welcome comments, about any of the eagles, or the different stages, in the Daily Nest Watch or Chat threads. Thank You. Capturers are asked to wait until Cumbrian or EDblue (Eagle Duo) posts the first thread of each day before posting or reserving a space for your videos and/or captures of the day to keep continuity to the archives. |

TODAY I GOT MY WINGBLINGS!
June 8, 2007 Sweet Peeps jumps up on a branch when Jim appears in the nest. Get a good grip with those talons, little one! ![]() We were all worried about the flapping here, a dangerous situation! Jim uses a stick to distract the chick while he reaches his left hand behind to get ready to grab the legs. ![]() Jim is successful in grabbing the chick's legs, although the chick put up a real fight. Hang on tight, Jim! ![]() "I want my Mom and Dad! Don't put me in the bag!" ![]() "My TH and WE cousins warned me there'd be a day like this!" A63 before the banding, and the after picture. |

GETTING OVER THE DOCTOR'S VISIT!
June 9, 2007 ![]() JUST FOR THE RECORD.................... I don't like my wingblings. I don't like blue, I wanted red like Mom and Dad. I don't like leg jewellery. I hate needles. What's with this GPS, now you will know where I am when I want to sneak out and look for chicks. And.......................That man in the orange hat, hope I never meet him again. BUT...........I DO LOVE ALL OF YOU WHO WERE SO WORRIED ABOUT ME YESTERDAY. |

GETTING OVER THE DOCTOR'S VISIT!
June 9, 2007 5:44 am How are you feeling this morning, Sweet Peeps? ![]() A63 was feeding him/herself for over 10 minutes, then just rested. The chick was still unsteady on its feet. It was great to see that it was eating and flapping its wings at least. ![]() Dad arrived and fed the chick, who just sat in one spot and peeped a lot. There was no snatch and mantle by the chick this morning. ![]() "My foot hurts, Dad!"......................."But my wings look great, don't they!" |
