As you know All Eagles All The Time 2010/2011 is an Archival/History in Videos and Still captures showing the various stages throughout the year in the lives of the Eagles on nests with EagleCams.
Due to the PH pair moving to a nest that is inaccessible .. the camera and equipment was moved to the Sauces Canyon Nest on Santa Cruz Island and became "live" on Tuesday, April 5th 2011.  .............. Observation Point ..................... Nest Tree ( Photo by Anibird) (Click on thumbnails to see full size) "Sauces" is not pronounced as in 'applesauce' but more like SOW-ces. It's Spanish for "willows" Thanks to JanT for this information. A little history about this nest ... In 2008 & 2009 ... A-28/m and A-02/f were the breeding pair on this nest ... Unfortunately the nest failed both years ... and then A-02 was found deceased in July 2009. Season 2010 there was a new female on the nest .. A-27. The new pair successfully hatched and fledged a chick .. A-71 Season 2010/2011 ... the IWS Crew advised that the female A-27 has a new mate, A-40. At the end of February they were not incubating but they were spending copious amounts of time at the nest relocating sticks and fluffing fluff, or as we would say, “baby-proofing the home.” On the SCI Update: March 1-8, 2011 ... a video showed that A-27 had laid an egg. ...  Sauces Canyon Nest .. 1st Egg laid. Clickable ... taken off the video. On the SCI Update: March 8-15, 2011 .. another video was posted .. and it appears that the pair now have Two Eggs .. although they cannot be seen on this footage ... A (hot) Day at the Sauces NestOn the SCI Update: March 15-22, 2011 .. the videos and photos posted showed the two eggs clearly. Sauces Nest March 14, 2011 ..... Sauces Nest. March 16th, 2011 ....... ....... ....... On the SCI Update: March 22-29, 2011 ... the video posted showed how the eagles coped in the rain ... A Soggy Sauces Day |

April 6, 2011 An early morning switch giving us our first view of A40     10:52am switch from A40 to A27 Brakes! Put on the brakes! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  They're so cute when they're sleeping   Where'd all those people come from? . . . . . . . . . . . . They showed up yesterday & just keep staring   6-6:30pm A40 wants a switch and finally gets one . . . . . . . . . . . . Who ARE those guys???   |
